Jean Simmons in "Footsteps in the Fog" (1955)

Jean Simmons was a great actress, but this movie is a classic example of miscasting. If Lily had been played as a scheming, back street gutter rat (which, of course, she was) a good film would have been made great. Unfortunately, gutter rat was one role Jean Simmons was never going to play. She was just too well-bred and refined to be believable in this role.

Stew bought Jean the beautiful ranch in Nogales AZ called "Herba Buena.....It is now called Kino Springs. ..and is a golf course and apartment homes. Stew was a great man to work for...they were a beautiful couple. The 50's...those were the days!!!!
