  • Damn!! There are so many groups I didn't know about. I was really young at this time, but I knew about the Delphonics, Stylistics, Blue Magic and the most popular groups, but I've missed so much. So glad for youtube and the people that post this great music. thank you!!!

  • 1973?

  • Can anyone tell me what year that came out ? I think I was 10 yrs old

  • @NAYA401 this awesome classic, I was in third grade could never forget it came out in 1973

  • very nice :)

  • Great arrangement.

  • great song!

  • Great song from one of Baltimore's finest

  • damn i love this song...

  • Thanks, sing it all the time, don't know the words. Have'nt heard it in over 30 yrs.

  • One of my all time songs is one of the most talented tenors we liked in baltimore was Marvin Brown from the softones, but i must admitt to this day the number one group harmonic song with tenores and background was PRETTY,PRETTY, by the joneses, pull these songs up and tell me what you think, also in B-more we had a club named Mother lodoes which had a great band named Man's Theory, album named Just before dawn, browse youtube, by the way my so called street name was Dancing Harry, take care.

  • Hey, my name is harry i love these songs back in the day, heres another tenor the group may like, its life in the country and also its forever, by the Ebonys!

  • SWEETEST SOUNDS!

  • The words to this song

  • @DatSoulBoss I got your message and I will pass your message on to Lee and a couple of other members of the group and get back to you on this.

  • Didn't Lee also do some work with Pieces Of A Dream?

  • My brother Ralph has passed away...its been awhile but 1 thing I know for sure, this was 1 of his favorite songS....now it is mine as well....miss you Bro!,R.I.P.!

  • Thanks for posting...this is a truly beautiful song and a good representation of the sweet soul of 70's RB, kinda makes me feel like falling in love and think of the special person who first let me hear this gem. Its a wonder that this group is mostly obscure...Lee Pittman's voice is awesome!!!

  • This is the only song I've been able to find by this group. I've been searching for decades for other songs by this mighty group.

  • Mr. Lee pitman is the lead singer of this song and if you hear him sing this day and time he will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up he is about 65 and still sound great lee is a great person to know him you would know! i worked with him on stage and he is wonderful and a blessed soul!

  • @BabaAkili Please let Mr. Pitman know that I'd like to speak with hi,. I'm a photographer from N.Y.C. & would like to speak with him.

  • @DatSoulBoss I know how to contact Lee but I am not at liberty to give out his phone number plus Lee is a bit private. I can ask him whether or not he would like to be contacted and see how he feels about it. Post or inbox your contact information and I will past it along to Lee.

  • @MrBigredchuck I appreciate your response & understand perfectly. I'm a photographer of Classic Soul concerts & know most of the artists from back in Lee's day. I'm also a member of The National R&B Music Society & my friend Marc Taylor publishes A Touch Of Classic Soul Magazine. We have all loved the music of Tomorrow's Promise for decades. My goal is not to intrude on Lee, but rather to express some well-deserved appreciation. His voice has meant a lot to us, he's like an old friend.

  • @BabaAkili You know Lee pretty good because you hit his age and personality on the head. I grew up with Lee and their Bass Herman Gainer. I was good friends with the whole group which also included Freddie Harper, Bobby Guy, and Kenny Sawyer (who wrote some of their songs). I used to hang around with these guys in the 70s when they were doing cabarets around the Baltimore-Washington area. They are all still alive but do not sing together anymore.

  • pringwood AVE1973 was a good year west side community center Nation Of Islam Asbury Park NJ S

  • This song is "BAD ENOUGH"

  • This is one of those songs I first heard late on a Sunday night in 1973 (after procrastinating studying I should have done all weekend) when our local stations signed off at midnight and you could hear more stations far away. Some out-of-town soul station back in the day played songs like this. First heard Tavares Check It Out, Intruders I Wanna Know Your Name that way along with the Moment's What's Your Name. Whispers What More Can A Girl Ask For --I could go on. College days. Wow!

  • YYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS ! ! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG ! THANKS ! IT IS THE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMB ! ! !

  • If you can't find this great song anywhere else it is on the Cd Slow Jams Volume 7

  • The lead singer on is Mr. Lee Pittman. Now a reserved middle man, is still singing (though he is about to retire from performing). This man went on to do some recording and performing with Pieces Of A Dream (The jazz group). I first heard this song in 1973; I was 13 years old. As God would have it, I have had the pleasure of singing with Mr, Pittman for about the last twelve years. I have rarely met a more humble spirit. I am touched that he still has fans. Thank you.

  • @Kbie60 I need for you to get in touch with me regarding Mr. Pitman. It's very important.

  • This was a bomb group have you heard the tune That's the way it will stay by them, just as tough!
