  • Can't I just let the sump pump take the water to the floor drain that we use for our washing machine?

  • No, this is in case the water frizes (in the winter timer), inside the pipe wich would would blow out your pump, so this is an escape for the water that is pumped out.

I looked for it online and I was not able to find it, so I just installed a 2" Y fitting and put a shower drain cap (do not glue) on the y fitting, really a peace of mind and if you want to wash out the drain pipe just remove the cap by hand and hose it down.

  • @luisdenunes Your right the Y fitting will work good luck.

Do u have a video of your discharge line if you do post as a reply.

  • I've always ondered this cuz I seen it at my neighbors house but coming out of the house the pipe has that adapter on it with holes what's that realy suppose to do? Is it when it's done air can get back int the line?

  • Yes, how much did this cost???????

  • It's part of the sump pump system no extra charge.

  • Northern Indiana

  • I have a company doing mine for $6800.

  • How much does all this cost? It looks labor intensive and expensive! You arent in our area - but we are looking to waterproof our basement.

  • Discharge line from the sump pump
