maybe didn't chart for billboard but back in the day very little club music actually did chart. especially when the artist's base was black radio or audiences.
Quel pied. Je conseille à ceux qui découvrent Isaac d'écouter d'urgence l'ENSEMBLE de sa discographie. Pour moi, c'est une histoire d'amour depuis 40 ans, la sortie de Shaft qui avait été un tube en France.
@ktyree1 Agreed. The 16 minute version is simply incredible. Takes you on a journey much like Donna Summer's MacArthur Park Suite. Many twists and turns and surprises. It really takes you to another place in time.
This really should have been a huge hit on the Disco/Dance chart. I think it might have been just a little too risque at the time. I think the lyrics may have been just too much for execs to handle at radio stations. Despite Donna Summer's success with Love To Love You Baby. It's really a fabulous song ! Beautiful orchestration, percussion. It has a vibrance and sincerity that usually only Barry White could capture on vinyl. Isaac really outdid himself on this one !! Great climax to the song.
Lo stato dell'arte è stato raggiunto in questa canzone!
