  • Hey bro,

I am a drummer, also playing some good guitar as lead guitarist in other bands. Not a virtuoso -BUT I want you to know that checked out your video AND you have a good personality, and good knack for teaching. Very clear and consise. Just wanted to let another musician know yours is some of the best- very easy to follow. Got my kids watching

  • can you teach Black Dog Solo by Led Zeppelin?? =D you re a great teacher

  • Marty ..I love everything your guitar teacher taught you ... you should take his name sometimes ....must 'have been one awesome teacher ...cos you've become one now

  • sounds like over the hills and far away. Nice vid. thanks.

  • Nice Heritage!

  • Learn to use the dots on the top of the neck

  • experiment with the legth of the strap (guitar hight) and try tilting the guitar up a little with your thigh to help you see the frets

  • hi freinds, Please help me in, how to play guitar in standing ?? I face difficulty standing & playing guitar as i cant see the frets . Also the pick position gets angled when i stand and play guitar. PLease suggest me for a good technique. Thanks in advance.

  • the best advice i can give is this:

in standing find a comfortable right&left hand position, notice where your guitar is situated, if youre leaning forward a bit or not, bending ur back ect ect

then when u sit down try positioning everything the same way as if you were standing. after time there shouldnt be any difference in youre upper body position while sitting/staning, and you should feel comfortable playing in both.

    hope this helps

  • hi Guitarmajster. Thank you very much for ur suggestions. I shall try what u told and shall inform u if i find any technical mistakes. Thank you.

  • Hey maybe these open string notes are a great way to string licks in different keys to each other too :D Great lesson ^^

  • when he says 9th fret he is on the 10th :[

  • lol at 7:24 it sounds like over the hills and far away by zeppelin

  • dude it does sound like it thats funny

  • dude... ever since their old site got kicked off youtube they've had to teach us songs without being exact... thats what they're doing. and when he says "that sounds like a very famous classic rock song." thats what he's talking about

  • could someone plz tell me how to figure out what key a riffs in?

is it the root note of the power chord?

  • Marty:

I love your videos and down to earth attitude. At 5:27'ish you said 9th fret while playing the 10th (flat 7th) in key of G.

  • over the hills and far away 7:00

  • Page uses open strings a lot. Also - D Minor is the saddest of all keys... :)
