i know i should be patient but i've been playing for just over a year. this kind of stuff seems like no matter how much i practice scales i can't increase speed or accuracy simultaneously. doesnt seem like i'll ever get there
Marty God Bless you for all your work, and teachings your like a prophet is there any videos of you and a band playing together..Love to see that to, it will blow me away as usual.....
I have to comment twice just because this is an awesome vid, im am a advanced guitar player and this simple stuff is kick ass. I was making solos and riffs to hard, they soundeed good but this is fast and easy and sounds cool. I like this vid.
dude epic, what is the pedal called that you're using to loop the rythm part, just a looper or dose it have a special name? and how did you get that fast, just a shit ton of practice or just natural?
you meant 10th fret @ 5:25 marty, just saying. you're lessons are awesome and if I could afford it I would totally buy your blues domination dvd set cause you are a great teacher, keep it up
This guy is great. Ive been watching his videos for about a year now. And his lessons on lead blues, rock and jazz really help develop solos as a musician. Even for someone who plays metal like me its always a major plus to know your way around the roots.
evey other day or so for a year i'v been learning from yours and daves lessons and i wanted to share with this ppl here that u guys r wht made me a guitar player,i can't afford to sing up on next level guitar tho i really would man thanks for everything))danny
Marty rocks! I reckon he and David Taub are the best teachers around. He just looks like he's have a blast the whole time, and of course lays down some seriously tasty licks :D
there is an iron madern song that does that at the start i cant remember the name but its good to practice cuz it helps with the un n down pickin speed my teacher gave it to me to practice its like open e and then a few notes on the same string
I am a drummer, also playing some good guitar as lead guitarist in other bands. then when u sit down try positioning everything the same way as if you were standing. after time there shouldnt be any difference in youre upper body position while sitting/staning, and you should feel comfortable playing in both.

kumarramesh46 2 years ago
the best advice i can give is this:
in standing find a comfortable right&left hand position, notice where your guitar is situated, if youre leaning forward a bit or not, bending ur back ect ect
then when u sit down try positioning everything the same way as if you were standing. after time there shouldnt be any difference in youre upper body position while sitting/staning, and you should feel comfortable playing in both.
hope this helps
