Nope. Sae and Yae's souls aren't even freed from this plane until after the events of the first two games. My favorite theory as to why the villagers seem to see Mio and Mayu as the Kurosawa twins is because they are both possessed by their spirits: Mio by Yae's when she sees her crying and Mayu by Sae's when she chases the butterfly into the forest.

is that God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen playing in the beginning? I wasn't sure how christmas carols would fit into this, but the style is so intriguing and it was simply marvelous, I don't know how you do it. You have a great eyey and hear for things.
