  • This is a brilliant clip.

I'm convinced that the majority of those who profess religious belief do so due to peer pressure and the fear of voicing a dissenting opinion, after all if you have been indoctrinated with religious dogma since birth it is extremely hard to question it, especially if you have been deliberated isolated from any other opinions or information, as is common with so many religious families/communities/cults.

  • The caller sounds like Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy.

  • The one for who it was soon to be over was YOU Hitchens, the bell has TOLLED FOR YOU.

  • as it turns out much of what the nixon tapes said were accurate... Nixon actually underestimated the power of the conspiratorial jewish cabal...

  • 0:53 is where he decides not to make up shit to back up his argument. He sets the standard. Preachers should take note.

  • god bless Christopher Hitchens.

  • Religion is a racket, yes indeed. A successful con job. Thanks for the confirmation of my thoughts!

  • Ace

  • Scientology and Mormonism a racket eh? What about the Catholics. I went to the funeral of the father of a friend of mine recently, high mass and all that. WHAT A FUCKING CULT ! Bells! Incense! Genuflect! Genuflect! Genuflect! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the people: Only the organization. Shit, I've been married 3 times all to Catholics. Not serious ones obviously. Look up "Vatican Rag" by Tom Lehrer on Youtube. Ho ho.

  • @wanker4761

Catholic Mass is almost like an aerobics session. You seem to do a lot of squats, a lot of chanting, and after that you maybe get some wine and a Jeezit.

  • @wanker4761 I heard it for the first time yesterday. It was fantastic!

  • @wanker4761 Pope worshiping at its best. The incense drove me crazy

  • The overwhelming display of Christian good-will on this page is comforting.

  • @ralphobia902 Ho ho.

  • @alban14 You fucking disgust me.

  • @alban14 If I were you I'd hope there is no afterlife, because if he went to hell after all of the good that he did, than where will you go?

  • Homosexual Christ' Hitchens died from a vitamin-deficiency disease as easily preventable as any of the handful of vitamin-deficiency diseases (chronic metabolic diseases) that kill vitamin-deficient Humans: scurvy, pellagra, night blindness, pernicious anemia & rickets.

  • @OneDollarBook if this is an attack on someone you disagree with, one could easily find a way to insult Hitchens without assuming he is a "fag", especially if one does disagree with him. If, on the other hand, this comment is your way of saying esophageal cancer is easily treated by vitamins, then you should probably take a biology course--or maybe watch something akin to 'Bill Nye the science guy'--and realize how stupid you sound. Maybe fear of death leads to "cancer denialism'?

  • @SecretionSanguineous : You take pride in your ignorance and in your tattoos.

It's not an assumption by me as Hitchens wrote of his homosexuality in "Hitch-22."

  • @OneDollarBook or maybe youtube leads to stupidity?

  • All this worshipping of Hitchens like he was some kind of a hero is absurd and hilarious. Hitchens was crass, crude, unoriginal, phony and boring. A cheap, smarmy, hateful, bitter old demogogue that achieved nothing, contributed nothing to society and in the end, died as a result of his own ever-so-human condition of addiction. Deep down, Hitchens was a weak, pathetic coward controlled by the tobacco industry. Go home. The show is over.

  • @432ps1 as a tobacco addict, I find that all my decisions and opinions have been bought by Phillip Morris and I'm helpless and can't think for myself.

  • @SecretionSanguineous Then prepare yourself to suffer the consequences. Man up, grow some stones, take back your life AND QUIT!

  • @432ps1 yeah GROW STONES...water little pebbles and the will blossom into a large pair of stones..no wait ..boulders..then shov'em in your scrotum..then tell he how it went....Haha fucking priceless you are!!

  • @ScoutWanderer Thank you for smoking.

  • @432ps1 coming to a channel you clearly hate to start trouble is the mark of a...a what?

  • @thebludoc Have another glass of Kool-Aid.

  • @thebludoc How about a smoke?

  • I really like hitchen's but I think he overstepped his own knowledge on the matter here. There is a very good counterpoint to this on Time magazines website just google Billy graham fraud. Billy held some odious ideas but I don't know that extortion and greed were included.

  • @TheAlphaPyro Hitchens was grossly over-rated and boring.

  • @432ps1 Agreed! Over-rated and full of himself

  • @februaryschild1 A British version of Geraldo Rivera..But drunker.

  • Real Atheists don't need Christopher Hitchens.

  • @432ps1 I don't need ice cream either, but I enjoy it.

  • @432ps1 what is your problem with him?

  • @nurbSoldier Hitchens was a phony who simply peddled his garbage to the willfully ignorant.

  • @432ps1 simply? simply explain...

  • @thebludoc Hitchens' played to the lowest common denominator, the simplest of simpletons. There, is that simple enough for you?

  • Comment removed

  • @thebludoc Good Grief! Hitchens is dead! You can turn the channel. You'd probably love the Geraldo Rivera show. Hitchens was the Jerry Springer of atheist talking head pundits. Get over it.

  • @thebludoc I don't have to justify ANYTHING to you! Go turn on the Jerry Springer show. Hitchens is stone cold dead. The party is over.

  • @432ps1 "that which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" - Hitch

  • @432ps1 too simple.

try throwing in some evidence or logic

  • @nurbSoldier Hitchens was just another cheap con artist working a sales job on the willfully ignorant. The guy speaks with a British accent and everybody creams their underwear. Hitchens didn't speak for all atheists. He was just another hate filled, warmongering nutjob with an army of bootlicking sycophants. He was just a guy with an opinion. Sorry I didn't participate in this great big slobbering love affair with Hitchens. Was I supposed to have?

  • @432ps1 Lots of people have British accents but many still sound like idiots who no one respects. Take Tony Blair, for example.

No one should speak for everyone. Not even for a small group unless that group explicitly requested that of him/her. I don't care whether or not he spoke for all atheists.

He was so much more than someone who advocated for a few wars that some people did not like. It's like you take one wrong view with some folks and their mental maturity drops to 5 years old.

  • @432ps1, He couldn't have been too overrated and boring seeing that the page is filled with your nonsense comments.

  • @TheDalinkwent The only thing that's more pathetic that this drink sodden, fat, posh twat Hitchens, is his army of thick, bootlicking sycophants. That mutherfucker never got 1 red cent from me.

  • @432ps1, Insults and childish antics, why am I not shocked. If you don't like the guy fine, but why waste time and energy posting comment after comment talking shit about the guy?

  • @TheDalinkwent Grow the fuck up you thick cunt. Hitchens never asked anyone to defend him. Take his cock out of your mouth and find a new hero. Jesse Ventura perhaps? How about Ron Paul? Geraldo Rivera?

  • @432ps1, Get over it? you're the one who looked up the video of a man you don't like only to leave childish and insulting comments, take your own advice. BTW is it poosible for you to make a point without name calling and insults?

  • @TheDalinkwent Two words: Nigga please.

  • @432ps1, Great comeback, I'll be sure to use it when a 5th grader attacks my views.

  • @TheDalinkwent Sometimes the truth sucks. Get over it.

  • @TheDalinkwent My comments on Hitchens are almost identical to, and numerous as, my comments on L. Ron Hubbard or Jerry Falwell. All three of these con men had the same agenda but used slightly different means. Hitchens did not believe in God. Falwell did, and Hubbard simply made up his own! The end result was the same. Cult leaders that created businesses by duping the ignorant into parting with their Cash. At least with PT Barnum, you got a bag of peanuts.

  • @xchargerOUx you moron. Congratulations on surrendering all your higher brain functions believing in a Santa clause for adults. And good Christian spirit wishing ill for a dead man, as well as wishing ill on others who dare to think different than you. You awful excuse for a human being.

  • wow mr hitchens you died way to soon. you were way ahead of your time a free thinking hero

  • Sorry, I might be able to respond to you if you try and make sense.

  • A monotheist rejects all gods except one; an atheist rejects that one also. Atheism is not a matter of faith, it is a reasonable conclusion that is not distracted by fear or atractive offers. The 'limited store of human Knowledge' - which is increasing - is sufficient to reject any dependence on supernatural explanations we might cling to because we do not like reality.

  • @johnc0ffee - Atheism is also a double standard contrarian soceity, who believes they need attention to stick out in the crowd and yell "hey, look at me! I'm the idiot who doesn't believe" It also suffers from overdone logic like the one you just posted. Hitchens is gone, one movement leader down, more to go. ;)

  • @xchargerOUx How is it a double standard? The only 'standard' an atheist has is to not have faith in any deity. Look up the definition of faith itself, the way you people use it is a double standard.

  • @xchargerOUx SO because someone disagrees with what you believe they should be dead? Im pretty sure thats not WWJD. But then again historically Christians are the most brutal, bloodthirsty, and violent people this planet has ever seen.

  • @xchargerOUx

Lets hope your mother dies in front of you...slowly

  • @xchargerOUx Is that your only criticism of atheism? That it is some kind of teenage rebellion for adults, and that's it's too logical? (Too logical!?) You should study it and science much more. Not so that you become an atheist (I really don't care about you), but at least then your criticism will be worth something. Anyone can say things, but only some people can say things that are worth listening to.

  • @Shoesarequiteuseful - I should study science to say something worthy? For What? to please a condesended contrarian stanced atheist! Whats the point? Atheists do suffer from double standards. Many examples can be made.

  • @mouthyweasel Yes, I do know them to be true, because God has proved them to me to be true. As far as being done, aside from building western civilization, Christians make up 33 percent of the worlds population, and 93 percent of everyone in the world believes that God exists. Even a significant amount of atheists engage in prayer.

"of all choices, atheism requires the greatest faith, as it demands that ones limited store of human knowledge is sufficient to exclude the possibility of God."

  • That is what hypocrite does best, they tell you one thing and yet, they don't bother to try on for themselves.

For example, they told you not to steal other people procession and one hour later, that person that told you not to steal was caught stealing other people stuff and selling it for a few hundreds buck.

  • How embarrassing than man still thinks he knows how the cosmos came to be and that that force of creation has had dealings with filthy ass desert wandering superstitious peasants from iron age Palestine. Grow the hell up, people.

  • @mouthyweasel The only way you could know the truth is if you were omnipotent, or an omnipotent being shared that truth with you. Since you are not omnipotent, and deny God has shared the truth with us, there is zero possibility you know what is going on. So, you are arguing from a pitch black cave. Jesus Christ is such an omnipotent being as I described; the Creator of all things, and He brought light to this world. It is only by that light that we can see the truth.

  • what a glorious man, sweep away the bullshit

  • Can you guys take your bickering to a forum or something? It's terribly demoralizing when I look down and see a bunch of comment-replies.

  • @markvilen Who's this Michael hitchens. I know of a Christopher hitchens who was a legendary intellectual and an amazing force against stupidity.

  • @MrHisOne Or perhaps you will die and be faced with Allah who will be very angry with you are torture you for eternity for not worshipping him. However unlikely you find this possibility to be, that is how atheists see your ridiculous claim to knowledge of an afterlife.

  • Who cares what this fat, ignorant drunk says? Michael Hitchens was so stupid he died an early death from all his smoking and drinking.

  • @glfaginn "no,god never supported slavery and is there proof that he did?"

Like most bible readers, you are unaware of its contents.(this is paraphrased - but you can read the verses yourself)

Lev 22:44-46 - You should buy heathens as slaves.

Deut 21:10-14 and 20:14 indicate that female captives are the spoils of war.

Nonetheless, at least god encouarages you to be nice to your slaves.

  • @dmmchn no the bible doesn't even tell you to be nice to your slaves, see exodus 21:20-21. I can already tell you that it is no use tough, this guy is so brainwashed that to him verses were god directly instructs his followers to take slaves or tells them rules on how to trade slaves totally mean that god is absolutely against slavery. He'd justify any kind of monstrosity as long as his god did it.

  • @DSkaz89 you are lying,it is no use when there is liars trying to minipulate the word of god.you will not accuse the truth and our king with lies."brain washed",if i was brain washed then i would be agreeing with you.i did not say that god directly supporting slavery means he is totally against it.you mean if there were verses like that then you could say i could be.since there is not i am not saying those would be against slavery but they do not exist in the bible

  • @DSkaz89 monstrosity? you are saying that god is for slavery.our god who doesnt want us to steal wants us to have slaves.you are the monstrosity and god has nothing to do with monstrosity so therefore i wouldnt be standing up for any montrosity but stopping it by stopping you from minipulating verses like you are trying to do.those verses you provided, they are referring to the laws of the land and slavery was apart of it but god wasnt promoting or supporting slavery,he wants obedience not slaves

  • @gflaginn Let me ask you a question about gods obedience.

If your slave does not behave as you wish, you whip him until he complies.

If I do not worship your god, I am punished eternally.

Please show me how these two things are different.

  • @dmmchn you are not being forced, you chose that path.you are allowed to choose whatever path you want.it might seem like it is being forced but it cant be anyother way.its either heaven or hell, what would you want? when u go to hell you are the reason.you are to blame.you dont have to submit, its eternal life and you will be offered eternal life.

  • @gflaginn "when u go to hell you are the reason.you are to blame."

No - god has sent me there.

"it might seem like it is being forced "

It is being forced. Submit or suffer. You can't possible explain it in any way.

What if I had a gun to your head? Renounce your god or die. What choice am I giving you?

  • @dmmchn "like most bible readers, you are unaware of its contents",i am more aware of its contents then you are, listen here, you have to understand the moral of the story.what message is god trying to say? he could e doing all sorts of things which create a higher chance and statistic that he is not promoting slavery.god is just going with the time,"you should" that is a reinactment of what the reality really was like and he was mocking evil.the proof is,god is a loving god so he isnt for slavery.

  • @DSkaz89 no god was going with the time,in other words he was helping the people of that time understand his word better.he is not omnipotent in the fact the he could be actualizing anything he wanted and he is god.what i meant by going with the time is,he was explaining things with what the world was at the time.why would he use a elephant to describe a willy mammoth if there werent any elephants.why wouldnt he be going with the time? its logical and good that he was going with the time.

  • @DSkaz89 you are abnoxious, anyways i proved that god doesnt support slavery and you have no proof that he does.if you do have proof you didnt have enough.

  • @gflaginn "you are abnoxius"

If there is anything that is OBNOXIUS is your butchering of the english language. Aren't you the least bit ashamed of the fact that a foreign guy keeps correcting you in your own language? Well i didn't expect anything less from someone retarded enough to look for hacks over youtube and actually DOWNLOAD a TROJAN. You truly are a MORON.

When you see your god ask him for a better brain because yours is defective.

  • @DSkaz89 If i am even the slightest bit abnoxious,i would be butchering up verses like you.you actually thought that your pathetic minipulations would fool me.how dumb are you? you idiot, you havent corrected me at all,i corrected you with your false beliefs.you should be ashamed for the lack of standards being able to provide proof.you failed, your lowstandard vocabulary is common among you foreign communists.stupid fool,i didnt download a trojan, think tiwce if you have any cogent thoughts moron

  • @gflaginn i expected more from a air head like you.your abnoxious acts of denying the lord for your own follish reasons.only a someone with as little of commonsense as you would actually believe that god would support slavery.now thats retarded especially when you contradict your self, you are abnoxious.''Was he going with the times when he said he loves the smell of burnt meat too?'' how immature of you.i didnt actually download a trojan,my mcafee site advisor informed me of a malicious download

  • Comment removed

  • @DSkaz89 the reason why i checked the website out is i wanted to report it.you are actually retarded enough to believe that i downloaded it.i was searching for something to report.figures, someone with as little knowledge as your limited mind.you truely are a common MORON.when i see your god i will ask him for any brain, you dont even have one and yours is infected.i would rather be defected then infected even though im not defected as your defected poor understanding of vocabulary perceives.

  • @gflaginn What is god trying to say?

I think you mean "how can I interpret gods word to suit my message". What god was trying to say in "biblical times" was considerably different to how you interpret it now.

God is not a loving god. God is a jealous god, and you should fear him. It says this in the bible, multiple times. (ex 20:4-5, de 6:13)

God created evil, why would he mock his own creation? (is 45:7).

  • @dmmchn "how can I interpret gods word to suit my message"

isnt this what you are doing? you are trying to convict god of slavery by minipulating the verses and using them to suite your lies.what god was saying in biblical times is exactly how i am rephrasing it now.god is a loving god and he is not a jealous god.we should fear him for his power.it might say it in the bible, but it is just an opinion as they are stories told by the people.god did not crate evil,so mocking is normal.

  • @gflaginn "god did not crate evil,"

So you're saying there are 2 creators? One who is good and created good, and one who is evil and created evil?

  • @dmmchn no,god is our creator and satan is not our creator.satan creating evil, meaning he is the creator of evil.god is the creator of good.its different then that, satan was created by god and then he created evil.god is the creator of everything though, satan is not our creator as far as master, but he is a creator of evil.god is the creator of good and created an angel that created evil.so in some ways yes there are and in some ways there is not.god is our master/creator not a creator of evil

  • @gflaginn "satan was created by god and then he created evil"

    Ergo, god created evil.

God knows all - before satan existed, god was aware of what satan would do. God knowingly created evil.

"god is the creator of everything though,"

    Evil is included.

  • Comment removed

  • @gflaginn "even if god knew what satan would do"

Well, the only way he could have not known what satan would do is if he experienced time linearly like human beings do - in which case god is not omnipotent or outside of time, and in that case it means god requires a creator (because there would have been a time when there was no god)

"that doesnt mean he created evil"

Yes it does. If I shoot a gun at someone, I know in advance that the bullet will injure them, before it hits.

  • @dmmchn no god could of not allowed himself to know what satan would do.it doesnt mean he is not omnioptent and a human.it just means he could of made himsef for get or that he wanted satan to decide for himself.god doesnt want to decide what satan does by preventing what will happen.no god does not require a creator for this when he can choose to know or not to know.god did not create evil, satan created evil and if god knew in advance,it doesnt mean he wanted that to happen.

  • @gflaginn You haven't refuted anything I've said - just said "no no no".

If god knows everything in advance, he KNEW what satan would do. He allowed it to happen, he wanted it to happen.

God's actions are perfect. Satan is a part of gods plan, evil is a part of gods plan. If he didn't want it to happen he could simply have not done it.

  • @dmmchn when u shoot a gun at someone you are trying to hit them, when god created satan he did not want satan to create evil.god will not prevent things form happening if it is the way of life.

  • @gflaginn "the cause of satan creating evil is god."

That is exactly what I'm saying - god created satan to act in this way. God already knows in advance who is going to heaven or hell (omnipotence means seeing all of time simultaneously) - you personally may still wind up in hell, say right in the last moments of your life you curse god.... You don't know that you will or wont do it, but god does.

  • @dmmchn you were saying that god created evil,no god did not create satan to create evil.god created satan with free will and he chose to create evil.god knew that 911 was going to happen, but it is not his duty to warn us if we are the ones who built planes.god does not want to baby us,we need to have faith in him before he does anything for us.he sent his son to die on the cross and we need to honor him.i will not wind up in hell, only god can judge me not you atheist

  • @gflaginn "i will not wind up in hell, only god can judge me not you atheist"

You don't know that you're truly acting in the way god wants - and god doesn't judge you.

God created you, knowing in advance whether or not you would go to hell. He already knows your entire life.

"god did not create satan to create evil.god created satan with free will and he chose to create evil."

God knew his choice before satan existed. God CREATED his choice. God chose for him.

  • @dmmchn god might know what will happen next, but it is not his job to prevent anything.

  • @gflaginn I didn't say it was.

Everything that happens is a part of gods perfect plan.

  • @gflaginn "god gave him free choice."

God can't grant free choice - god also can't make decisions. God is omnipotent and perfect, and everything god does, he is aware of its outcome before it happens. Also, all of gods actions, being perfect, can not be described as "good" or "evil". They are as god plans it. It is only your delusion that you have free will, all of your actions were decided even before the moment of creation.

  • Comment removed

  • @gflaginn "god did grant free choice,it says it in the bible."

So? It also says in the bible that god created evil, and you don't believe that.

    "god also can make decisions,"

No he can't, god is outside of time. God does not age, god does not change.

"he can easily and did grant us free will."

No he can't - he sees your future, he creates you knowing what you will do. There is only the illusion of free will.

"god is perfect and his creations arent."

    Perfect begets perfection.

  • Comment removed

  • @dmmchn the reason why god is good is he had to make choices.he saved our lives and helps us.he protects us and heals us and allows us to be free.god also is a loving god and cares about us.it is not just a plan,it is his free will and my actions were not decided before the moment of creation.my body mind and spirit were written in the book of life before i ever existed.god decided our existance, our actions are based off of our choice.

  • @gflaginn "my actions were not decided before the moment of creation.my body mind and spirit were written in the book of life before i ever existed"

That's a contradiction. Let me ask you something - can you make a decision that god doesn't know you will make?

    Can you fool god?

  • @gflaginn "even if god knew the outcome before it happens,it doesnt mean he is going to take away our free will."

If god knows the outcome, we don't have free will. If god knows I am going to die in a car accident, even if I never get in another car again, I will still die in a car accident, right? I can't choose my way out of my fate, can I?

    ",i do have free will."

Yes, you do. And thats because, if there is a god, he is not a personal god.

  • @dmmchn god didnt create evil,he just allowed satan to have free choice.you say well god knew before it happened,he did not want to decide for satan.even if he knew he didnt want to prevent satan from his free choice, that is why he doesnt support evil.well you might say he doesnt support it but he created it.no god did not create evil satan did.god just created an angel and he angel created evil.the cause of satan creating evil is god,but god did not create evil.

  • @dmmchn god created everything,he did not create evil.he created everything then what he created-created evil and god did not.

  • @gflaginn "what he created-created evil"

The only way that is possible is if god can create something that has creative powers equivalent to his own. God could easily destroy evil, if he hates it so much. .but he doesn't. It says in the bible that god created evil anyway, so you have no possible argument because its there in gods perfect book.

Isaiah 45:7 - "I make peace, and create evil".

If course god creates evil, it is only your misinterpretation of the bible that is confusing you

  • @dmmchn what god creates can create, humans create we are not as powerful as god is.god could esily destroy evil, god still hates it and he will not destroy it if we are not saved.god chose a day to destroy satan,he will and he wont do it right now.god doesnt have to destroy evil even if he hates it.god wants to have more of us on his side first,he doesnt want satan to take any more of us and if he destroys satan then he has to destroy criminals.god allows satan to have free will

  • @dmmchn the verse that says that,he created satan and satan created evil.that is what god means, the reason why is god even say that satan created evil.when he says satan betrays him and before that there was no evil.i do have an argument, god is not the creator of evil,he says he is,but satan is the one.the bible is not confusing me,the bible makes sense and he did not create evil

  • @gflaginn "he created satan and satan created evil."

So.. if I make a cake and you eat it..who made the cake that you eat? Me. I knew you'd eat it. It's my "responsibility".

"the bible is not confusing me,the bible makes sense and he did not create evil"

You are confused. It clearly says god created evil.

Unless you think that verse was written by satan to confuse you?

  • Comment removed

  • @gflaginn God still knew what would happen. Why would god be surprised unless he was no all powerful? Everything that god has done is a game. God knows the end of the world and the beginning, because god created it.

  • @gflaginn No man, I'm just saying god does not condemn slavery in the bible; it is acceptable to god within certain parameters.

  • @dmmchn god did not condemn slavery, but he did not support it.god did not condemn slavery in every parameter, but he doesnt accept it in any parameter.he is just allowing us to have free choice,if you call not condemning it accepting it then since you dont say you are not gay then you are gay in certain parameters.it goes both ways, god did not accept it and you say he did not condemn it.that is not his job to condemn slavery.god didnt condemn terrorists or nazis, doesnt mean he accepted it.

  • @gflaginn There are no rules in the bible telling people how to be nazis. There are rules telling people how to have slaves.

  • Comment removed

  • @gflaginn ".god also did not set up rules, rulers did and if there were rules then the bible was just explaining"

So what you're saying is the bible is not the word of god, it's the word of rulers?

  • @dmmchn god have us life and eternal life, what did we do for him."for god so loved the world he gave is only begotten son to perish and die for our sins".i am rephrasing it and you are giving the verses a whole different meaning.you try to make the stories look like god supporting it.it is god explaining how it works and theres a difference between the stories in the bible and gods word.god craeted an angel with free will who decided to turn on god and then the angel created evil,i mean satan.

  • @dmmchn he is mocking satans creation to show us how evil he is.think about the moral of the story,i talk about santa clause and you can ither say that i am lying or giving kids christmas spirit.you are the type of guy i this case to say that i am lying.god is ether trying to help or he is supporting slavery, you say he is supporting slavery.in the bible it also says god is a loving god.so god making and creating heaven performing all of those miracles and you say that god is evil when he is not

  • @gflaginn Now, it might seem like I am attacking your religion, but that is not the case. I am attacking YOUR personal faith in it, when what you believe is not at all what your bible teaches.

If you want to believe god is love, that is fine, but the biblical god is not such a god.

There's nothing wrong with any belief system, but, please, if you're going to claim to follow the bible, ACTUALLY follow it. Maybe read it?

  • @dmmchn no,you are not attacking any religion.god is not a religion,he is our creator.you are not attacking, you are trying to.i will not be decieved by one mans beleifs to fool th entire history of almighty god.my personnel faiths are of the bible.so you are attacking the bible as well.when what i believe is not all what the bible teaches? so since i proved that god doesnt support slavery and he does not,it does not make me lacking the belief on what the bible teaches,i am worshiping the belief.

  • @gflaginn "i will not be decieved by one mans beleifs "

You already are - another man explained your beliefs to you.

"it does not make me lacking the belief on what the bible teaches,i am worshiping the belief."

There are many things in the bible that I doubt you follow.

  • @dmmchn nonone my beliefs werent explained, they were lies.there is no proof of my beliefs is i do not approve of them.slavery is not apart of my belief and you guys might think it is.you assume that slavery is supported in the bible and i believe in the bible, that doesnt mean i dont know my beliefs.i do know my beliefs and even if it was supported i would not believe in it.there are many things i doubt you follow, you dont follow the bible.you say god is evil and the bible says god is loving.

  • @gflaginn "i do know my beliefs "

Yes, but those beliefs are not based in the bible. They're based on a weak interpretation of certain passages.

"you say god is evil and the bible says god is loving."

The bible says god created evil. The bible says god is to be feared. The bible says god is jealous. THe bible says god will kill you if you worship other gods. The bible says god will send bears to kill you if you mock a priest.

The bible says to kill non-believers.

  • @dmmchn you want to believe that the bible teaches slavery, that is why you believe that i dont know all of what the bible teaches.i do know and you obviously dont calling god evil when he is a loving god as it says this in the bible.''when what you believe is not at all what your bible teaches'',i believe in god.so how can i not believe in everything, just because i dont know everything the bible says doesnt mean that i dont fully believe in it,for what i dont know believe in it.

  • @dmmchn my belief is what the bible says,so it is everything the bible teaches.i believe in everything the bible teaches.you just believe that the bible supports slavery, thats your belief.thats why you think my belief isnt true, your belief ist true.you are misunderstanding what god means when he talks about slavery.it is just stories and is not promoted by god.god was referring to the laws of the land and not slavery.

  • @gflaginn You don't believe what the bible says. Do you just follow the new testament, the few passages wherein jesus says "love one another"? I bet that is the case.

Jesus himself said that he did not come so you could forget the old laws. You must not eat the unclean animals. There are things god wants, that are a part of GODS LAW. READ THE BIBLE.

  • @dmmchn i do believe what the bible says.i follow both testaments and all of the passages.no that is not the case, where jesus says love on another, that is apart of what i believe.

i did not forget the old laws, jesus doesnt want us to forget THE NEW LAWS.i know about all of those things that he doesnt want us to do and even if i dont know everything i still believe in it.so there are no reasons to believe that you accept the new testament, you just accept the old rules and thats against god.

  • @gflaginn "all of the passages"

You are lying. Do you provide a burnt offering? If you sit on public transport, or in public anywhere - if a menstruating woman has sat there, you are unclean and need to ritualistically bathe.

Do you avoid pork and other unclean animals? Do you shave your beard correctly? Do you do no work on the sabbath?

If you wear a cross, you are guilty of idolatry. Have you ever worn clothes made of more than one material? God hates that. Also read matthew 6:1.

  • @dmmchn even if i do not do all of the passages it doesnt mean i do not believe in them.god does not say to do any of these things.they are either facts or suggestions and the new testament also corrects the old testament.even if god does not like that,it doesnt mean i am not allowed to and there are other things

  • @gflaginn OK, so you believe that since I am an atheist you have to kill me? Your bible says that since I don't worship your god I am to be put to death.

  • @gflaginn "where jesus says love on another, that is apart of what i believe."

Typical un-aware christian. Most christians who are unaware of the bible say this. It does not specify to love ALL men - just other men of the same faith, which you would do anyway.

Jesus does not wish for you to love me, as an atheist.

  • @dmmchn you are a typical unaware atheist, that is your opinion and it doesnt matter if its specific.why would we love all men? we wouldnt want to love evil,we love those of the same faith and that is good and it doesnt mean that god doesnt want me to love you.i do not hate you,i just disagree with you.alot of christans say that and they are aware.they are just saying the truth,it is apart of what we believe.god says to love one another,it means everyone

  • @gflaginn "you are a typical unaware atheist,"

That's funny coming from someone who claims to follow the bible but is unaware of its content.

It's clear that my knowledge of the bible is greater than yours.

".god says to love one another,it means everyone"

No it doesn't - read the passages. It says "your brothers". Meaning, those who believe as you do.

  • @dmmchn Go and read Luke 10:27-37 and find out how wrong you are. God indeed does command us thus, to love our neighbor as ourselves. That is everyone.

  • @blurryshiny You can only go so far as to say that MAN has said that God indeed does command us thus......

The rest is faith. And faith is gullibility. Evidence is EVERYTHING.

  • @mouthyweasel Tell me one thing you know for sure and how you know it.

  • @blurryshiny 1. I'm answering your question. 2. By use of multitudinous processes (both conscious and unconscious) limited by and afforded me by this all too human vessel :)

  • @mouthyweasel You can't know that for sure. You assume for instance that the external world is real. You also assume that your "multitudinous" processes are giving you accurate information. When you say evidence is everything, ironically you have no evidence to prove that this is true, or even that you're here talking to me. You assume all these things, yet you decry faith as being "gullibility". You don't seem to understand what faith is, or the limitations of your own knowledge.

  • @blurryshiny Are you claiming to be omnipotent? You know that these bronze age revelations were real. That a man was born of a virgin? That he raised Jairus' daughter and lazerus from the dead? You were there? You KNOW these things to be true? And I'm in a cave of darkness? Idiot, your day is done.

  • @blurryshiny Um.. I think if you read it you will see that "the merciful" or "the kind" are your brothers, who you should love.

It says "love thy neighbour", then jesus goes on to describe who is a neighbour. The parable basically says, if someone is kind to you, you should love them.
