I think this will be eventually a Facebook fail. "Partnering" simply means screwing over. Its like how Google tried to get into the social media aspect, its just not going to happen and the reason why is because, like you all mentioned, there is no reason for you to come back. Plus I like having different apps do different things - not one behemoth.

@popmuffin101 one of the reasons I prefer Foursquare (or any of the non-FB services) is that you only show your location to people who are on your friends list. But with the privacy settings, you can limit that on Facebook as well.

@RCBeiler Right, but it takes a lot of manual maintenance to create a whole new privacy setting on Facebook and add a bunch of your friends to it...

Since we all started fresh with no friends on FourSquare it was much more opt-in.
