  • The representation and symbolism of the green lion is very powerful, nationalistic and patriotic. The green lion represent the dreaded and ruthless Manchu rulers during the Qing dynasty. The warriors attacking the green lion represent the Ming loyalist fighting to protect China from Machu invaders and the restoration of the Ming dynasty.

  • Yes, you are right.

  • if u wanna see real lion dance drumming and kung fu come to hawaii

  • Hi, The UK Boys Had Just Spend 6 Hours Of Training On The Hokkien Green Lion Dance With Me Back In Singapore YunKai Martial Arts And Athletics Association.

I Feel Proud Of Them, They Have Did A Great Job And A Good Performance Just Without The Sanzhang Drumming.

Are You Sure You Have Better Lion Dance Drumming And Kungfu Back In Hawaii ?

    Master David Lee

  • Agreed! This looked like the star wars kid trying to beat a lion made out of a serving dish.

  • @dingleberries8o8 More like if you want to see the original go to Asia.

  • Well done lads, thats the first time i had a chance to see your performance of 08, sorry i couldnt make it, will be seeing more of you again soon though, keep up the hard work its paying off, your really looking something not to be taken lightly. gr8 performance. aiangzhu

  • thanks 4 sharing, i seldom see this type of green lion.

  • great performance :]!

  • Very nice Green Lion.

  • the guy in the head woz the best obviously... btw itsa steve

  • I understand the Green Lion dance is not just performing a dance, or a ceremony but the movement itself especially the head is related to fighting form. The head is itself a shield and the shaking and turning is to develop proper defense and offense. That is why the routine is pair against a weapon. The entire routine of the green lion requires constant movement and is very demanding. Good way to develop stamina, mobility and muscle coordination. Is your martial school a wuzuquan style?

  • no its a shaolin martial arts club that does loads of differnt things like kung fu,weapons, kick boxing, iron shirt, lion/dragon dancing, tai chi all traditional stuff. We learnt the green lion over in singapore.

  • dont forget it got weapons of it own it was blades on it eye brows lol tru
