The representation and symbolism of the green lion is very powerful, nationalistic and patriotic. The green lion represent the dreaded and ruthless Manchu rulers during the Qing dynasty. The warriors attacking the green lion represent the Ming loyalist fighting to protect China from Machu invaders and the restoration of the Ming dynasty.
Hi, The UK Boys Had Just Spend 6 Hours Of Training On The Hokkien Green Lion Dance With Me Back In Singapore YunKai Martial Arts And Athletics Association.
I Feel Proud Of Them, They Have Did A Great Job And A Good Performance Just Without The Sanzhang Drumming.
Are You Sure You Have Better Lion Dance Drumming And Kungfu Back In Hawaii ?
Well done lads, thats the first time i had a chance to see your performance of 08, sorry i couldnt make it, will be seeing more of you again soon though, keep up the hard work its paying off, your really looking something not to be taken lightly. gr8 performance. aiangzhu
I understand the Green Lion dance is not just performing a dance, or a ceremony but the movement itself especially the head is related to fighting form. The head is itself a shield and the shaking and turning is to develop proper defense and offense. That is why the routine is pair against a weapon. The entire routine of the green lion requires constant movement and is very demanding. Good way to develop stamina, mobility and muscle coordination. Is your martial school a wuzuquan style?
no its a shaolin martial arts club that does loads of differnt things like kung fu,weapons, kick boxing, iron shirt, lion/dragon dancing, tai chi all traditional stuff. We learnt the green lion over in singapore.
I Remember About 15 Years Ago, I Went Over To Phillipines With My Master For Kong Han Anniversary And We Saw Your Great Hokkien Green Lion Performance That We Can't Afford To Perform It Anymore In Singapore,There Are 108 Warriors With Different Weapons Attacking The Green Lion With All The Elements Style.

I'm the 4th generation of the "Nan Shao Lin Fu Zian Quan Zhou He Yang Men Wu Zu Pai, Yui Ming Pai, Sheng Yang De Shi Gong men zia" for 36 years.
Nam Yang is also part of us, thats why i pass our treasure to them. They are the combination of Jiang Zhou Tai Zu and Yong Chun Bai He.
