I wonder if this game factors in the sort of "rock/paper/scissors" effects that logias have against eachother. For example, the Ace vs Smoker fight that was unwinnable by either side, etc.

Now thats how their fight should have gone: Ace should have just used Flame Fist when Blackbeard was using that gravity thing to draw him in, then Blackbeard would have gotten hit by it at close range at full force!

flame fist didn't have the sheer intensity of flames to deal with blackbeard. If you take a look at final flame commandment- flame emperor you can really see that the flames have the heat to incinerate on contact, where the flame fist is not as intense flames, and more widespread.
