Though the mark before her is 9 where she goes in is actually 10 feet deep. If you doubt it watch her go down and see how far down she goes and how much wall is in back of her as she sits at the bottom of the pool. She has done this in 12.5 feet deep in her other video for the Worldwide Escape Artist Relay.
@Alexanderiathegreat 1st of all the mark clearly says "8 FEET DEEP" not 9 as you just said and 2nd i wasn't wasn't pointing out that she was going 8 feet down i just asked why the description said 10 and besides the depths 10 and 12.5 feet is not that much of a difference although i am amazed by how she manages to escape. and by stating that "she" did it are you saying that you are not Alexandria? and btw how often does she train and does she do this for a living? oh and this was amazing

@Alexanderiathegreat -First thanks for the compliment . She has done this escape a number of times now for the World Wide Escape Artist Relay & for a number of newspapers. In this club there are 2 pools. Alex did the escape left of the marking which was (we were told) in the 10 ft depth but you are right it says 8 not 9 my bad.
I am her husband & manager. As for depth you will be surprised how the extra few feet can make a difference on lung capacity and force of hitting the bottom which can make the escape much more challenging. She also broke an eardrum so extra depth can cause her additional pain. As for training she works every day doing either breath holds, power lifting or working on restraints to be as safe as she can in doing these extreme escapes. Learn more at alexanderiathegreat
I love when my fans root for me. I have been asked if the people who watch my escapes really do root for me or not. I have found they do. Just by the reaction that I get and the comments like yours I receive, I think they really appreciate what I go through (the pain and effort ) to escape. In fact, I draw strength from their reactions. We all go through a lot now just to survive. In some ways, what they see me do hopefully inspires them to battle and never give up.
I love to perform an amaze. The Leap is not fun for me as given the danger involved it really is a leap of faith. Let me say it is fun when I escape but given the difficulty and the challenge I am never completely comfortable until I surface. I am very proud of it though as no women is performing this escape and few people have ever attempted such a heavily weighted and restrained escape underwater. This is twice as much as Houdini did in his leaps.
@Alexanderiathegreat That's so true. :) Well yeah, the challenge is great but it will be so much relieved when u escaped. :) Just do something you really think you are capable of? :) Don't try something that's too dangerous that would risk yourself :-)
And that's super awesome. You should be the next one in world guinness records :)
Anyways, thank you for replying :-D I really appreciate it :D
great job!!!!!!!!!! i have never seen anyone do that besides the great Houdini!!!!! the whole time i was just like :O
