Purke taking four years is not the point.

You're saying that we should get a catcher to replace Varitek (Varitek, not Veritek, you dumb fuck), when Stassi will take four years.

If you are drafting for a replacement, you have to expect him to be ready in no longer than two years.

Yeah, a lot of the mocks have the Sox taking Stassi, but Purke, right now, is the biggest pimp in North America as we speak, and I hope we draft him.

I wouldn't mind Heathcott/Turner/Miller either.

I just checked it out and youre right, i forgot they didnt sign cole last year so they get the 28th pick back. And what do you mean no team wants to lose a year of developing a prospect? This kid is easily a top 15 pick and the Cards, Jays, Angels (Twice) and Chisox all draft ahead of the yanks. All Mid-Big market teams. They will pay him. Just my opinion though, but if he turns down whatever signing bonus ANY team offers him, hes one cocky kid considering the wild card that are HS pitchers

IIRC the yanks dont have a 1st 2nd or 3rd round pick due to Tex CC and Burnett. You think hes gonna leave 5-6 million on the table because he wants to pitch for the yankees when he could blow his arm out at anytime and end up getting nothing or the yanks could just trade him or any other type of fluke occurence? I believe you go to his HS, but peope will do A LOT they said they wouldnt do when millions of guaranteed dollars are on the table.
