I'm 16, I'm not really into all this classic stuff. My mom dragged me to the Broadway production and I LOVED it! When Frankie sang "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" (The first song) the audience just went crazy. At the end of the song he had a standing ovation for the longest time, it was amazing!

This original cast especially, JLY, Christian Hoff, J.Robert Spencer,Daniel Reichard are the reason that this show became one of the greatest musicals ever. @DanCrespin316 i agree! i love the west end cast :) i saw ryan malloy at west end live and thought he was amazing, but when i actually saw the musical, scott was on as frankie and he was incredible!
@Sam4G0d Well my freind, return and see Ryan Molloy! He is just incredible! I never saw this one being from the UK, of course I hear the vocals on the OS but to me Ryan Molloys the man! I just wish they'd release a West End version of it! Sometimes it'd be nice to hear Broadway vocals on some original West End shows, just to compare and also, they'd make a shit load more money surely? In the mean time, Youtube does it!
the chicago cast of jersey boys was the best outta any of the groups tht sang, they were better then broadway in newyork, thts why they went to the tony awards
@DrPhilwithhairKIMMY . . .Because they're different people. . .and some people are better. . . .
Like I said, they're good, but the Vegas cast was better.
Nathan Lane is a Broadway staple. And yes, he (kind of) hits the notes he's given. But he's not a strong singer. His vibrato alone is enough to show a lack of diaphragm support.
Simply being cast on Broadway doesn't make you the best. David Hasselhoff was on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde. Enough said.
The Toronto cast was more like the real Four Seasons and a lot more like Frankie by far... James Madden was far more like the real thing... check it out online...
I have always loved the orignal Jersey Boys that are performing in this clip. The others are still great, but these ones are the reason I turned to the musical.
I saw Jersey Boys on broadway a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! I fell in LOVE with this show! I need to see it again, and again, and again, and again!
I just saw this play tonight in nyc! it was AMAZING! I loved it so much. Except the guy who played Frankie Valli now is WAY better and sounds more like the real one then this guy.
John Lloyd Young's mom was my high school substitute teacher. She always had Jersey Boys EVERYTHING! Watches, T-shirts, Pens, etc. it was nuts! She was so proud! Our drama club went to NYC every year, and he gave us a tour before we watched his show =)
I've Always Loved Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, But For Some Reason I Thought The Show Would Be Quite Lack-Luster, But Now It's MY FAVOURITE MUSICAL EVER! :)
i saw this show 3 days in vegas at the palazzo. the 9:30 show. the guy who played frankie valli was incredible. He hit every note perfectly and can go even higher than frankie could. Ive known thier songs before i saw the show but now im just hooked on all of their music and get the songs out of my head.
I hate to sound like a complete moron (especially when I like broadway musicals) but does anybody know the name of the first song? I really should check all the comments but theres are a lot!

Believe me, I thought the same thing. Then I saw it. This show has gangsters, broads, booze, and plenty of f-bombs. Yes it's a musical, but not a gayyyyyyyyy one.
Hey, I'm an Italian male who loves musicals, digs the Four Seasons, is straight but not even close to homophobic...even started out as a theatre major! There's a few of us cooler ones out there, eh? lol
this is such an amazing show, definitly one of the best stories ever told on broadway music history wise. The guy who plays franki valli who i cannot remember at this time is absolutely amazing and could not have pulled the part off any better, great job!!
Jeff Madden was incredible as Frankie Valli in Toronto!!! loved the show I hope they come out with a DVD of some sort! or just lower the ticket prices lol well worth it though

Believe me, I thought the same thing. Then I saw it. This show has gangsters, broads, booze, and plenty of f-bombs. Yes it's a musical, but not a gayyyyyyyyy one.

To me its amazing, suprisingly to my male italian friends, they see the four seasons as a bunch of fruits. I'm left confused.

Hey, I'm an Italian male who loves musicals, digs the Four Seasons, is straight but not even close to homophobic...even started out as a theatre major! There's a few of us cooler ones out there, eh? lol

Actually, I find that very few musicals are "gay" if you really listen.

This group, John Lloyd Young, Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard and J. Robert Spencer are the best Jersey Boys. Amazing
