  • man i can't wait to finish my ranger project....just wiring and it's ready for the break-in.

  • Bad Ass ranger man :D

  • Kick ass Ranger! I would love for my 07 F150 to get under 13s, lol.

  • my ranger runs a high 9's in the quarter (:

  • dude, you made that lameass car your bitch! long live OLD Fords!

  • damn, smoked that camaro!

  • dam! my ranger dont even get 0-60 in that time! and do u no if a 289 hipo is a relieable motor?

  • 289's are sweet as far as nostalgia goes. but do yourself a favor and go with a 5.0 out of a foxbody mustang. (way more aftermarket parts)

  • well... i was offered it for free...

  • oh cool. haha, free is always good. well Ford wouldn't have built the motor if it wasnt reliable!

  • not bad r u running slicks on it?

  • No slicks, just BFG drag radials :-)

  • Nice! Very nice...

  • niiiice i have a ranger but its a piece of shit!! haha i wish that shit had a v8!

  • everyone says that. :-P

  • Very nice truck.

  • Very nice job on the ranger, very fast, 12.8sec was closer to their 0-60 with the big V6! I liked the good ol' 71 at the end, that Galaxie was fast as hell considering that car weighs nearly 5000 Lbs, I had two 71 Custom 500's, that had to been a built Big-block in the "Green Machine"

Hey, to you posers with your BS blah-blah POSERMOBILE that can "eat your ass", thats 12.8 sec in 1320ft not your POSERMOBILE going 0-60 in 12.8sec!

  • spank my ass and call me suzy...

  • SWEET!!! My brother has a 396W in his 88 ranger. It ran a 12.8. haha lifted 9'' and with 35's! The 460 project is slowly starting, so stay tuned. Cool little truck you have there. How's your c4 holding up?

  • The C4 holds up fine, it's a perfomance automatic c4. It supposed to be good up to 1000hp.

  • Wow that must be a pretty built C4 then! Most C4's are rated at 500hp. My brother couldn't keep one together in his truck. After 3 complete rebuilds and 3 blow ups it was gone haha. He's now running a ZF. the c4 was awesome, but just wouldn't hold together. A built C6 however will be bolted to the 460.

  • i swapped my c4 for a c6 in my 351w cougar and I still feel the c4 was better

  • A C6 takes more internally to rotate, which would come out to a power loss. A c4 is fine for a mildly built engine, but if you're running 500+ hp I'd run a c6 without a doubt if you're going the automatic route. You also have to option of running a C5 or the possiblity of an AOD. The C5 was the precursor to the AOD before it got phased out.

  • that truck looks like shit, but its fast as hell!

  • buba , lol i just built a 85 ranger with a 302, an c4 , that will eat urs a new ass,,,

  • You might want to re-think about that. My brothers Ranger ran 11.6 tonight at the strip. I'll post a video of it tomorrow.

  • C'mon, look at his profile. He's big mouth little kid with no videos. Look at his comments and it's obvious he made that profile just to make asinine comments.

  • hey what kind of engine and tranny does that have in it cause I wanna get mine set up like that I have an 83 Ranger

  • It has a 351 windsor and a performance automatic c4 transmission.

  • what engine?

  • A 351 windsor bored out to a 357.

  • looks good out there

  • is that a 1/4 mile or 1/8?

  • It's the 1/4 mile.

  • nice, thats a fucking bad ranger.

i have an 88, im thinking about droping in a v8, but i have only external engine experence, doing basic repairs and replacements, so id prob pay a shop to do the work.

  • I suggest finding a shitty engine,, taking it completley apart and learing techniques then doing it yrself. Engine work is only fun if u do it. Then u can say.. wow i made my car this fast!

  • thats a pretty good idea, i might actully do that.

that way i can just dis-assemble it, and try and put it back together.

    thnks for the idea

  • be prepared for quit a bill. I take it you'd be using a 2wd truck, so you wouldn't have to worry about a t-case. If you're not going too wild on the engine dept, you can run a mild c4 or t18, throw an 8.8 in the back, and you'll be set. Check around for templates on making your own engine mounts, trace them, then cut them out of 1/4 steel.

  • what did you guys do to go from running low 13's to high 12's

  • Well, my brother put bigger jets in the carberator, didn't let off the gas during the run, and started launching it from the line. During these runs the valves were floating so the engine was only spinning 5300rpm. We put dual valve springs on it but we didn't get done in time for the last race of the season. The ranger should do mid-low twelves now that the motor reaches 6000rpm and that he is gonna install the transbrake.

  • I would love to run your ranger against mine. check out DANGER RANGER.
