the push for the eastern front was supposed to be over before christmas so they fought on the steppes in summer clothing, the supplies were in germany but the different railway gauge made logistics difficult, they re engineered some of the track and had to make do with the remaining Russian trains but obviously bullets and shells are more important than clothing, a lot of supplies had to be dropped by air also the Germans over stretched their supply lines and the troops suffered from it.

The Americans that died on Omaha, gold and Juno beaches were let down by the american navy who were to scared to get close enough to shell the German emplacements on 6 june 1944, therefore the Germans were ready and waiting as were their mg 42's, had they had the oceanic artillery support it wouldn't have been quite the slaughter, ok so you all reached berlin.. the russians had already taken it and got hitlers remains
