  • Ever since the movie came out and I was lil girl then I fell in love with this song!!! This song is so deep so true so real. Love you Ms Tina! N

  • LOVE THE FUCK OUTTA THIS SONG... SANG IT HONEY

  • Daaaaannnngg

  • Amen General this is the best version. yes, he is a nutcase, and in prison as I recall. but DAMN, this is the best!! I loved it when it came out

  • Spector was batshit nutty, but damned if his Wall.of Sound wasn't genius. And this song is the summit of that sound. Tina's powerful voice + Phil's signature sound = classic!!!

  • Love this song...

  • She's a volcano.

  • Still sends shivers through my soul. OMG!!! Just divine. All hail Queen Tina <3

  • The nuts!

  • God bless Tina. Passion, and raw love power simply ooze out of this woman on this track. One of my favorite tunes of all time, as the hairs on the back of my neck will testify.

  • 12 people have never had a rag doll. or been rag dolled.

  • thumbs up if you heard it on whats love got to do with it and automatically loved it!

  • If this song doesn't move your soul..your dead

  • May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • As far as I'm concerned, nobody sings this song better than Tina Turner. She has the perfect voice for it.This is my number one favourite.

    BEAUTIFUL,BEAUTIFUL,BEAUTIFUL.Thank you for sharing.

  • @beadsstitcher: Agreed. This is her song 4ever and always.

  • @AKix32296 Okay, I have to agree with most of your statement...except for the Glee part. I will admit, I was born into the era of bad music, and I tend to listen to bands from the 60's and 70's more than the modern stuff. But what Glee has done is actually ingenious. When I first started watching Glee, I heard older songs I hadn't heard of before and decided to look it up. I was able to broaden my music tastes by watching Glee. But the original is always better, in any case.

  • this voice is so strong and full of strength almost hurts my eyes

  • pepole reading commets are you kidding a great song though

  • You know why I'm here? CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS.

    Yeah...

    google that shit.

  • May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • love this version best!

  • TinA..

  • I love tuna

  • there es no one like tina turner!!!!!

  • @Schnecke0062 this is Tina's song. Glee is great. But Tina is fabulous. Sorry hun. Nobody can beat Tina.

  • Tina Turner!! You still Turn Me On!!!

  • @Schnecke0062 That is ridiculous. You are either a troll, a five year old, or just tone deaf. First of all, there would be no Glee without amazing artists like Tina Turner. Second of all, Tina Turner is an iconic artist that will be remembered for the rest of history. Those people on Glee will be forgotten before you know it. And why are you "sry"? Because you don't have an ear for music? Or because your comment is so silly it is pissing others off?

  • @AKix32296 Yeah, you can't tell these little high school new millenium kids nothing. And, they don't know shit about music. They think that bulshit on Glee and The disney channel is real music cause they were born in such a shitty era. I am so glad I wasn't born in this day and age. These kids ain't got nothin but poor, crappy remakes of the real thing and want to tell somebody what good music is and don't know shit.

  • @CrownJewel32 I know, it is sad how bad most artists suck nowadays. All the music there is is shitty Katy Perry autotune that they play on the radio or crappy talentless indie bands that just whine behind a microphone and strum a guitar. And then they get Glee to sing classic songs, so stupid tweens can make stupid statements about a music time period they know nothing about. The songs they sing on Glee: Hair, Imagine, One of Us... they take meaningful songs and make them shitty.

  • This is one of my all time favourite sons<3.

  • Beautiful Music!!!!!!

  • are u joking schnecke0062

  • This version of the song, produced by Phil Spector, is awesome.

  • i feel the same about this song the goosebumps always get them when i play this, brave woman

  • I love it.

  • * * * * *

  • Can you feel that 'Wall of Sound'?

  • This song literally gives me goosebumps.

  • One of the awesome GREAT pop songs from June '66 which those mainstream radio consultant F's choose to ignore coz they're just GDMF-ing STUPID. Nuff said!

  • This is good ish.. first heard it watching What's Love Got To Do With It.... I cried and my heart hurt... And that's all I have to say about that

  • I've listened to this song at least 15x in a row...a classic that will never get old..ughhh the music is unnatural...pure geniussss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • without phil spector dis song wouldnt be anything.

  • You know she recorded this in her underwear and was holding her crotch while hitting the high notes.. So RAW! LOVE IT

  • Intense! That "Phil Spector wall of sound" is the key. See also the other girl groups of the 60's

  • Great, great, great!

  • NOBODY SINGS THIS THE WAY TINA DOES. SO RAW. PLUS ITS HARD TO DUPLICATE THE WALL OF SOUND.

  • Darlene Love's version on Letterman is better.. hands down

  • Im dancing around to this tune and my cat is staring at me as if i were a lunatic

  • Wow. Just... wow!

I love the raw unpolished feel to this song. :)

  • @TheGnolla Quite often if something is full of emotion, and slightly imperfect or raw, it is better than perfection :)

  • @ravrik you are right

  • @ravrik Well said! :)

  • @TheGnolla "unpolished"??? O_o' It's Phil Spector producing this... It took five recording sessions, more than 20 musicians, including four bass players; at the time it was of the most expensive song ever to be recorded... I'd like to hear your idea of a "polished" song...

  • @MrMelchiorM Read my comment again. I wrote "Unpolished FEEL". :) If it's on purpose or by accident doesn't really matter to me as long as I enjoy it.

  • @MrMelchiorM

By today's standards, where everything is autotuned and eq'ed to death, it does sound unpolished. But that's the way its supposed to sound. It actually sounds like people are singing and playing instruments, because they are! Its not all made on a drum machine like today's music.

  • Simply put, one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest women EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tinas best solo - love it - never to forget after listening... - there's nothing to do with that fuckin' ike...

  • tinas best solo - love it - never to forget after listening...

  • Tina turner is jss simply amazing..celine did not serve her justice with her version...#IJS

  • Eric Burdon and The Animals were other of the musical performers of this song.

  • This song was a commercial flop when it was originally released, effectively ending the era of Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound". The irony is in how good it sounds now and how powerfully it holds up. It ultimately got the credit it deserves, it just took some time.

  • @jasonwheel Because the song was way ahead of it's time. The world wasn't ready for it yet.

  • Celine's got a more powerful voice than Tina to me. But I do love the original just because it was the original.

  • @Triewer I'd have to disagree...Tina's vocals are wayyy better than Celine....

  • crazy motherfucker phil spector but fuck me the man could produce sublime music..

  • @MrBigcolly, you could of said that exact same thing without all the profanity.

  • @MrBigcolly THE MAD GENIUS AT HIS BEST!!!

  • @MrBigcolly sooooooooooo tru!!!!!

  • @MrBigcolly damn straight!

  • @MrBigcolly u know it dude, phil spectors off his rocker but his infamous "wall of sound" has left us with untouchable music like this, check darlene love.... xmas (baby come home) same technique...the shirelles (will u love me 2moro)...e.t.c its his production on all these classics that make em stand out..

  • tina gives me chills. man, whoever dislikes this has some serious problems.

  • this is the song that spector thoufgt it was the best he worked, but it did not go well over the idiots on the air waves on radio, phil got upset and pulled as many copies from selling in 66.its ok with me,i did get a very rare copy demo at the time in stereo.my son has it.

  • This cut is pretty epic.

  • 1:48 ik heb spille benen xD

  • I was in the Phil Spector murder trial jury pool - and when I told them this was one of my all-time FAVORITE songs ever, I was dismissed from jury duty! Phil may have been crazy, but you can't deny the majesty of this production!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • This is the best version of the song. Other versions might be well sung but the production values and the voice on this track are sensational! This sends a shiver down my spine.

  • best version ever. Tina did not need a huge dance team as back up to put this over like Celine did. Phil Specter was the genius behind this classic and Tina's talent,,,unbeatable. sorry Celine..second place isn't bad..

  • Earl Palmers drums are hardly audible!

  • @73MarkIV I'm sorry, I don not remember the Supremes doing this song.

  • @AprilPocky I didn't either but I just heard it with the Supremes and the Four Tops. Which is what made me want to here Tina's version.

  • oh the goose bumps I get from this!!!

  • Sister Tina Turner is the greatest ever soul and pop singer and queen.

Tina was so dynamic in her own way and she is so electifying and definetely she's still a honie despite she is getting on.

Tina was so spiritual and she's got the quality with her sweet and soulful energy.

Sister Tina Turner is the queen of soul, R&B and pop and that's a fact.

  • - Like if You Know She Is Wonderful !

  • diva diva diva......................

  • Thumbs up if you're here for Tina and Celine ONLY.

  • Anna Mae you better sang this mufuckin song like I told u to sing it!!

  • @cookiegate No Ike!

  • @cookiegate LMFAO !!!

  • @cookiegate lol

  • Leaves me speechless

  • That's real good Anna Mae

  • @Hot90sBabyLOL21 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's my part. Ike was salty as HELL!

"Ayyyyyyy Phil Spector want to do a song with Ike & Tina"

"Um no not with you, just with Tina"

    ahahaha LOL!

  • @Hot90sBabyLOL21 Hahahahaha. Gonna make her eat the cake too?

  • I love THIS versions of Tina's with the Orchestra. Especially when she did it in the movie. Because It is beautiful and I know that it pissed Ike the Fck off SOOOOO bad!!!! (lol) :)

You go girl, more power to you. I still dont understand how a woman with a voice like THAT could have ever been afraid of a man like HIM... love you Tina!! :)

    p.s. It gives me chills...

  • THIS TOUCHES MY HEART EVERY TIME I HEAR IT ESPECIALLY IN THE MOVIE!!!...4REAL

  • Tina Turner's version has so much more power, energy and je ne sais quoi than other versions I've heard.

  • the queen lady's and gentlmen

  • I like this song so much, I heard this song the first time when I saw Glee. But Tina is so much more Inspiring.

  • Fantastic!!!

  • we love this song

  • wall of sound...great cut.

  • love tina

  • Tina has that rough/sweet voice I love so much.

  • I wish I could sing.

  • 8 people need to fall in a deep river or fall off a mountain.

  • @candykisses40 how about falling from a high mountain, into a deep river?

  • @zachmasterzach wtf u talkn bout

  • I love this song!!! Only tina

  • GO TINA!!!

  • I love you Tina. :).

  • tina is the best go girl glee is ok but there will only be one tina to sing this

  • the only problem witn the specter version is that he softened tina's voice

what made tina special, is that she sang like a male r and b singer

    this version loses that

  • Ike Turner is nothing but a scum bag , and woman beater , Tina is pure energy, and raw talent at it's best . Nobody and I mean Nobody sings this song better.

  • Tina's great, but no one does this song better than Darlene Love! This is an amazing song!

  • my cuz sang this and it was great shes only 10

  • ike turner made tina !!! absolute fact even the man that gave her this song said so

  • @gt2e ike turner didn't write this song. phil spector did. in fact, ike turner was such a problem he was paid to stay away from the studio during the recording.

  • @somewordshereiguess read it again you fucking clown !!!!

  • @somewordshereiguess LMAOOOOOOOOOOO Damn, everybody was paying that fool to stay away. They even paid him to stay away from the set of the movie "What's love got to do with it".

  • @gt2e Phil Made Tina interms of career, this was the song 4 her. but Ike trained and polished her. Phil is an underdog and will defend his friends doggedly. Especially if they had been slandered like Ike was. A great person to be friends with if you get his different sense of humor and moods. But I think Phil and Ike are both great, one thing tho,Im not bashin Phil, But he has been know to tell great stories, some truth with alittle or alotof relish lol but that was him and he was a genius.

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME! AND I HATE GLEE'S VERSION!

  • she is the best go tina

  • THANX =YOU ! SOO MUCH! I NEED THIS SONG!

  • A classic - all the talents here - Spector's arrangement, great lyrics and the matchless Tina. No one comes close

  • I'll tell you what; when the Glee and Celine Dion "versions" inspire ANY of you to tears, the desire to take your sportscar to 140mph or to tell your significant other that you love them, send me an eMail.

  • The voice ! Her voice !!! Incredible !!Fantastic !!

  • the song that ruined phil spector

  • @jasrogg why ????

  • SING OUT ANNA MAE!

  • Eines der besten Lieder, gesungen von der besten Sängerinnen dieses Genres, die ich jemals in meinem Leben gehört habe! Tina - you are simpy the best!

    Thanks for posting this!

  • Oh how i love you babe, babe ,BABE! I love you babe

    Keep on rockin Tina

  • Celine is ok but her light voice is weak. Some songs need a powerful voice from a powerful singer. Tina's voice is husky and strong and it tells a different story she conveys a stronger passion compared to Celine... well whatever you like what you like. If you like weak then okay thats your opinion what do you know anyway? Obviously Tina's millions of fans, awards and 50 years of music prove you don't know anything.

  • How can you compare an original to a remake??? There would be No Celine's version without Tina's masterpiece!!! Mind you, Tina was ASKED to make this song! And Celine only remade this song because it touch her, BECAUSE she herd TINA!!!

  • ...WOW!

  • Tina's was original.

    Celine's was beautiful.

    Glee's was inspiring.

Thumbs up if you agree with any of these.

  • @AprilPocky i profoundly dnt!

  • @AprilPocky - do you remember the Supremes had a version that actually did quite well after Diana left. It featured the Four Tops. I saw Mary Wilson perform it years later, and she still had it! This is an awesome song, so long as the singer has the mettle to do it !

  • @AprilPocky i agree but make it Tina's was original. Tina's was beautiful. Tina's was inspiring lol

i cant see how glee is inspiring...all it inspires me to do is touch up songs and use auto tune sorry but thats how i feel...oh and yeah to celine lol xxx

  • @AprilPocky DARLEN LOVE owns it...

  • @AprilPocky I AGREE WOO HOO! WOO HOO!

  • This song needs a powerful voice and only Tina Turner can sing this like it should be sung !

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Celine Dion must sing it of FRENCH...

Or Carolyne JOMPHE, my prefered Artist!

  • Two words about this song

    PHIL SPECTOR

  • @TL250Rider YES, PHIL SPECTOR GENIUS......

  • 'This song was so modern and new sounding that unfortunately people didn't quite get it at the time, and that is such a shame b/c it is an amazing song! It was WAY ahead of it's time......

  • @Chrliesangelsman totally agree. spector was such a visionary that he couldn't adjust his vision to what was palatable to the audience at that time. what a classic song!

  • @uncoverbrother: awesome comment undercoverbrother. Very well said....

  • It is IMPOSSIBLE to beat Tina in this song! Celine can try and sings very well but she'll never do better than Tina. She knows that. lol

    The Diva
