Hi there is someone able to tell me please as I read it over here on the Internet (in England) that my ancestors, Lord Sanger's Circus floats (tableaus) ended up being shipped to this Circus, it would be interesting to know if they are still being used - would be very old but I expect with the a little resoration they would make a lovely parade again. Interested to read any comments anyone might know, our Circus took place around London in the 1800s until Lord George Sanger died thanks
I saw them loading up flatbed trucks to take the wagons back to Baraboo. I know that they used a picturesque train in previous years. They must have priced out the least expensiive option, semi trucks this time. It was quite impressive to watch how they anchored the wagons down to the flatbeds to make the trip. One to two to a semi. The personel helping out all had on red circus world museum, Baraboo, shirts. Nice guys.
Sadly the circus train flat cars used in the 90's parade are in bad condition to be used again. From what I heard authorities didnt allowed the cars to ride the rails again.
Let's hope Milwaukee really adopts this with all the circus lover's. Is there a more historic filled parade in all of America? Even some of the autos at the beginning of the parade are 100 years old and still running smooth. The circus wagons, 150 years old plus?
It was my first one and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I really hope they do it again. I saw it all, and I am planning on going up to Baraboo to see the rest. I posted some videos of what i saw.
From what I understand my high school was asked to march in the parade and we said yes.
I'm a member of the Watertown High School marching band, we were the last marching band in the parade. I play B.C Baritone (Euphonium) and I was right guide for the brass, second to last row.

Very interesting comment. Is there any newspaper article or website that documents that the flat cars are unusable?

I do have the web article. Copy and paste in Google the following phrase and you will find it:
"sad-note-for-train-buffs-and-great-circus-parade-fans". Let me know if it works.
