Hi There psikeyhackr. Thanks for your comment. Actually, there are quite a few computerized medical diagnostic programs out there -- Isabel is one; PKC another. There are others. MD's are generally technophobic about them -- "cookbook medicine" and so forth. And at best, the programs are sort of "memory joggers' -- like "did you think of this?" Problem is, most diagnoses are not "textbook", so capturing them in computer software has a way to go before they're truly useful.

There is a really strange thing about this medical business.

In the 1980s there was a program on PBS about developing computerized medical diagnostic programs. But now we have $300 computers that are more powerful than those mainframes from the 80s. Where are those diagnostic programs to put on these great computers? When do we even hear about them now?

The medical profession has shoved them under a rug.
