What American band has a lead singer with the longevity, balls, talent and endurance of Robin Zander? None. America is, as usual, too stupid to realize that Cheap Trick is one of the best, most original, innovative bands of all time.
WHAT AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE OF THIS FORGOTTEN CLASSIC! THE CHEMISTERY IS STILL THERE TWENTY YEARS LATER. I CAUGHT IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1980, NOW 30 YEARS LATER I GET TO CATCH THEM FOR THE 15TH TIME. MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE KIMBERLY WILL BE SEEING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME. I GET TO BUST HER CHEAP TRICK CHERRY!!! "SOUTHERN GIRLS THEY GOT NOTING TO LOSE."
I love that Telecaster shaped Hamer 12 string Robin is playing here. I remember seeing him play it on an MTV Spring Break concert around this time, and I really wanted one like it.
I seen them open for Robert Plant at the Cincinnatti Gardens on this tour. Both acts were incredible, but Cheap Trick was easily the loudest of the two.
So far I'm finding this much more entertaining and representative of their live show than the Selenas DVD of the same year (and yet Selenas is whats available on dvd). Just another Tricky mystery....
OH man, I need to see this whole show! This was the first tour I ever saw them on as a small child... first concert ever was in Houston, probably the night before this one!
Tom is very very sexy when he wears that hat : P~~
