My brother was one of the first in southern california to get the 76 xt 500. He bought it from birdies yamaha in pomona. He still has the tank! He let the bike waste away on the side of his house, and ofcourse someone came by and walked off with it. I just sold my 1979 to someone is switzerland. I got 2000 for it. It was in perfect condition. The guy in the video knows exactly how to start the XT. If they dont start just hold the throttle wide open, works everytime.
Barmtrail, I am interested in the 76 tank if you still have it: Please e-mail kruhmer@hotmail.com. Glad you like the video.

@joe23da Nah, its easy, actually. You just have to wait for the engine to go to TDC compression, then kick. That gives it way less kick back.
