Joel, Makes no difference whether you wear glasses or not. if you get to pilot training your class rank out of Ph II (T-6s) will determine whether you're eligible for the fighter/bomber track. Recent historical numbers reflect that the top 1/4 to top1/3 of the class is eligible for the fighter/bomber track. I would recommend attending college where AFROTC is offered...major in whatever you're best at...and give 110% to make yourself more competitive for a pilot slot.

BTW...I believe mhsamsim is correct. vision is waiverable up to 20/70 uncorrected, but the AF now accepts applicants who have had corrective surgery. Also, I have several fighter pilot buddies who wear glasses, so don't be discouraged.

I graduated from Vance in 68G exactly 40 years ago! Everything on this video looks just like it did back then, although these 'studs' work out more and drink less beer than we did. Must be the times.... Of course, we had a nasty little war to look forward to. The beer helped with those thoughts.

My father was an I.P. at Vance in the mid 60's. I never flew but worked on the Vance birds for many years until getting laid off last year...
