Since I last had my sub active, this game had virtually no GM support, the big siege battles amounted to alot of people randomly disconnecting or the game literally flippin' out, and of course the botters and constant RMT spam etc. Has any of this changed? I'd love to come back. I'm starting to miss my sorcerer.
@TheRealCadaver GM Support is still a bit hard to come by but picked up ALOT, Disconnects rarely happens as they have fixed most issues. Very little spam in lfg although you do get the /w every now and then. Also botters have been cut back MAJORLY! 1.9 Comes out today adding a hored of new stuff along with 2.0 by the end of summer. Server merges and Transfers are also coming up. Marchutan is still thriving with even pvp #'s around.

Aion is bad ass. Im thinking of re subing but still not sure if I can afford it haha. Its a great game for us people who played Silkroad Online or Lineage 2.
Accually, WoW copied D&D, everquest, and so forth...no video game will ever HAVE ALL original ideas...daz fact, yes aion has parts from another game here and there.....its how games are made..but who gives a crap? i played wow for a long long time....and i swapped to aion, becuz i was tired of WoW, so dont bash on a game cuz u like urs more.
You can pvp in the air. The air pvp was supposed to be a big draw for the game but IMO it's turned allot of ppl off to the game. It's buggy still and melee sometimes have problems unless they have an extendable weapon. For the most part the classes are fairly evenly balanced, but gear differences is what imbalances the game. Gear and consumables play a huge part in the pvp in this game. At max level everyone has consumables so that's to a lesser extend, but gear will make or break you.

tbh, anyone who says anyone copied anything from anyone is right, and wrong. Because you don't have to copy something, to make the games look similar. Think about it. How many ways is there, to make an MMORPG, platformed? Not that many. In the end it comes down to imagination, graphics, and storyline. The only reason WoW is currently number one, because its storyline have been built up for about 10 years. Doesn't mean that they haven't copied anything, just mean they came prepared :)

@babalooga12 combat is horrible in my opinion, having played both, i feel like wow's engine is the best, combat being completely different than in wow, it takes much longer to get use to, but i feel like i have more control over combat in WoW, since animations in aion actually delay your hit, so it's like a cast time of a cast time.. or something ? and pvp gear in aion reduces damage you take from enemy players, so yeah he does hit pretty hard!

On the other hand, WoW copied Its entire underlying structure from other MMO's that where popular in there day. There is nothing revolutionary about either wow or aion. Both use proper business sense in developing a game people can relate to interface and combat wise from previous experiences.

Accually, WoW copied D&D, everquest, and so forth...no video game will ever HAVE ALL original ideas...daz fact, yes aion has parts from another game here and there.....its how games are made..but who gives a crap? i played wow for a long long time....and i swapped to aion, becuz i was tired of WoW, so dont bash on a game cuz u like urs more.

You can pvp in the air. The air pvp was supposed to be a big draw for the game but IMO it's turned allot of ppl off to the game. It's buggy still and melee sometimes have problems unless they have an extendable weapon. For the most part the classes are fairly evenly balanced, but gear differences is what imbalances the game. Gear and consumables play a huge part in the pvp in this game. At max level everyone has consumables so that's to a lesser extend, but gear will make or break you.

tbh, anyone who says anyone copied anything from anyone is right, and wrong. Because you don't have to copy something, to make the games look similar. Think about it. How many ways is there, to make an MMORPG, platformed? Not that many. In the end it comes down to imagination, graphics, and storyline. The only reason WoW is currently number one, because its storyline have been built up for about 10 years. Doesn't mean that they haven't copied anything, just mean they came prepared :)

@babalooga12 combat is horrible in my opinion, having played both, i feel like wow's engine is the best, combat being completely different than in wow, it takes much longer to get use to, but i feel like i have more control over combat in WoW, since animations in aion actually delay your hit, so it's like a cast time of a cast time.. or something ? and pvp gear in aion reduces damage you take from enemy players, so yeah he does hit pretty hard!

@BrokenCydeDF Aion copied WoW's basic structure. It was a successful game therefor its proper business mentality to copy what you can so that players have an easier time migrating to it. On the other hand, WoW copied Its entire underlying structure from other MMO's that where popular in there day. There is nothing revolutionary about either wow or aion. Both use proper business sense in developing a game people can relate to interface and combat wise from previous experiences.

@ThemNabs WoW did copy off other games. Just like warcraft 1,2,3 copied off other games. Neither Warcraft nor WoW was the first to delve into that game genre. MMO's where already in production with full class systems, social interaction, a in game economy as well as class and profession division. It was all done before, just as the style of Warcraft was in the past. There is nothing new to the base structure only changes to the story that is implemented. Same with Aion i suppose.

1800 bracket? man Arena is one of the worst thing that has ever happend to WoW, even the dev's regret placing it in the game, pls take that somewhere else. Aion brings World PVP, WoW is a rip off off 100 of other games, and so is every other game in the world, its called improvment. and WoW is for casual gamers, not for hardcore gamers.
