@TotalPWNAGE8 yea man my brother 6 years ago rode a 2005 KX100 with a port and polished motor in the Coos Bay/North Bend, OR dunes and it worked great. He was 13 at the time and weighed around 130 lbs. I've personally seen it work very well man.

250 two-strokes are perfect fore the dunes, that's where they have shined for years. They are light and quick, great for big dune jumping but becoming obsolete due to manufacturer distribution. 450 four strokes have taken over the market but are just as good because they are easier to ride and have a lot of power to lug that extra weight around. No reason to knock either bike, they can all go big depending on the rider.

@ThaFrody I say no, just my 2 cents, 450's and 250 2 strokes in the sand feel like 250 f's and 125's do on dirt as far as power. so if you wanna go big, I wouldn't waste your time on a 250 f in sand, well dry sand at least. Might not be too bad if the sand has some moisture.
