I saw them on the Broadway last year. They are amazing! I always loved Hair, but what this cast has done with it raised goosebumps on me, and I was literally crying after the show from the emotions experienced in the air........and the cast is soooo down to earth and approachable it's unbeleivable.

Just saw this tonight (june 15,2010) It was amazing! Diana, Ace, and Kyle were efing amazing! It's a shame it's closing. Also the entire cast comes out after the show and takes pictures. They are so humble and amazingly talented.

brilliance!! You know one thing I love about this show is that when the cast goes into the audience, (and they do all the time) it's like chaos, but it's like organized chaos, you know. It works so well!! You believe them! I believe them!!! If I didn't know better I'd have thought that some hippies with great voices snuck into the Tonys and took it over! And Gavin Creel is a GOD!

@sokwest - I loved your comment on the Hair musical! I know you wrote this about 2 months ago but I couldn't agree more. It's absolutely exhilarating! They do go into the audience at all times, break all the barriers of what is safe or not for today's mad world and really live up to the 60s' hippy philosophy of freedom of body, speech and love. That's why they are so convincing! It's an instant, natural high they give you! The organized chaos takes your breath away!

@sokwest Hair is way more than a musical. When properly done like it was with the original cast in 1968 and again with this cast in 2009, it transcends a theater production. The cast and audience become one. A unique and very special community is born in which, if even just for a moment, you can feel like there is reason to hope for our future. Even the most cynical of us (like me) can tap into the collective energy and, at least temporarily, enjoy the "mind's true liberation".

I saw Hair March 6, before they headed for London. I was in awe of this cast and their talent. Gavin Creel, Will Swenson and the tribe were so energetic and gave their hearts and souls to the show. At the end I was greeted by Kacie Sheik and Vanessa Ray. I was trying to find Gavin and Will, but the lights were so hot. It was a wonderful experience. If they come back to New York, I'd definitely see it again. I'm am hoping they come to Boston, though.

After watching the Tony's, I watched Hair, and it was the best decision of my life. I'm a Broadway junkie and I've seen a ridiculous amount of musicals, but nothing has ever come close to Hair. People say it all the time, but this is the best musical ever made. Risque, filthy, funny, hairy, and so poignant. I watched it with the new cast and they are the sweetest, most talented people in all of broadway.

When I went, ever man and woman in that theater was bawling their eyes out. Truly spectacular. And Alice Ripley? Her voice is to die for.
