@muffingirl1606 totally not, she's a Mezzo, you can define that by the color of her voice, she might hit some Soprano notes, but that won't make her a soprano. She's a Mezzosoprano but not a deep one, actually she's the kind of mezzosoprano that has a very high pitch.

I always thought Hilary rapped more than sang. She just says the lyrics in a sing-song voice, rather than actually sing. I like some of her songs, but she's not a real singer like Christina Aguilera or Mariah.

I honestly don't believe she has an amazing voice. She sounds quite generic, however, how do we not know that she can hit notes much higher or lower than her 'studio' range. She probably has more of a range than what has been recorded. I like her better with darker hair... :D

Although she has a lower range than a soprano her voice does have more of a soprano/soubrette like quality, her alto notes of whispery and a bit strained. Her voice just sounds a bit more rougher than before but its still very much the same sort of brightness. I think she could increase her upper range with the right training.
