its the auto choke, i have the same bike, it runs like that for a minute or so..

nice wheeler. check out my AC 650 V2 walkaround on my page. The steering isn't stiff either. Ive owned an Arctic Cat 400 500 and now the 650 V2 and have never had a problem with any. AC is the only way to go.
