I live in a small, very religious town where if you are gay then people will feather and tar you (with words and insults). It pisses me off to no end because someone in my school is gay and they are terrified of being bullied and that the bullying will lead to suicide. If you have a problem or a negative opinion against gay people keep it to yourself because they could be one bad name away from pulling the trigger.

Personally i have no problem with people who want to be 'gay' or 'bi', what i do have a problem with is their insistence on wanting to get married. Marriage for ages took place in churches, it's really based on religion, and since with their choosing to be 'gay' or 'bi' that would be going against religious terms in the bible so, why would they want to get married? I am still in that "figuring myself out" stage. I know I'm not straight, but I'm not ready to put a label on myself. I live in a small, very religious town where if you are gay then people will feather and tar you (with words and insults). It pisses me off to no end because someone in my school is gay and they are terrified of being bullied and that the bullying will lead to suicide. If you have a problem or a negative opinion against gay people keep it to yourself because they could be one bad name away from pulling the trigger.

i have no problem with people who are gay. well i wouldn't cause my dads who adopted me are gay. so i'm use to being around gay people. Also i use "That's gay" a lot but I don't mean it to put people done. What I do have a problem with is how people judge people for being gay, or their kids for have gay dads or mums.

Although when you say "That's gay" and you don't mean to put people down, you're using it in a derogatory term. Meaning, using it as an insult. So, it brings a stigma about being gay, as if it's something you should not be. So, it may not be on purpose, but it's turning a word that means nothing more than homosexual, into an insult.

Personally i have no problem with people who want to be 'gay' or 'bi', what i do have a problem with is their insistence on wanting to get married. Marriage for ages took place in churches, it's really based on religion, and since with their choosing to be 'gay' or 'bi' that would be going against religious terms in the bible so, why would they want to get married? I am still in that "figuring myself out" stage. I know I'm not straight, but I'm not ready to put a label on myself. A lot of people don't really take that seriously or find it impossible to understand. I completely accept anyone in the LGBTQ community, without a doubt. I have a few friends who are gay & I'm a part of my school's GSA. Everyone has those words that offend them, or words they dislike. For me, I hate the use of the word "gay" in a negative connotation. Same with faggot/queer/dyke.
