  • Yesterday I was sitting in my school's parking lot waiting for a call listening to this song. As it played... I was overwhelmed with emotion and just cried right there. So yeah if you saw some wack job in the MATC parking lot listening to ACB crying his eyes out, that was me.

  • truely one of my all time fav songs.... i wish the whole world could hear this song....

  • No matter how shitty my life becomes, all i have to do is put my headphones in and put this song on. Then for 10 minutes i can forget about the world and finally smile. Fuckin magnificent

  • one of the most emotional and powerful songs i've ever heard

  • Jesus <3

  • Oh my god. . . This song gives me chills. This, this right here is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. So Powerful, so meaningdul, so completely mind blowing. Tears have been brought to my eyes at the pure genious of this song. Terrific. This band had some real talent. So Emotional.

  • This song is an awakening, both in friendships and love of neighbor. :)))))))))

  • i can only listen to this on occasion.... soooo powerful... can you hear the ridiculously deep emotion in his voice? it is truly mind-blowing

  • love this song :)

  • It's not the sound keeping me from sleep,

It's what Jesus said about hell underneath...........

  • this song makes me cry aand i dont cry

  • R.I.P Timothy Mulholland

  • this was written about there freind who killed himself i think but its really sad

  • Thiz song iz so powerful

  • Very Expressive with good transitioning of instrumental highs and lows peaking the emotional being found within

  • i love as cities burn because when sing about stuff its not the usual stuff. like girls, and love. (its important but overused)

when i first listened to this song i thought he was talking about girl but when i found out it wasn't that made me smile.

thank you god for your creation.

  • @MrPrinceofpie I can show you a long list of GREAT songs that are of god and his word.

  • @swannyjean i would honestly like to see this list

  • "Tell me I'm only dreaming, tell me he's just sleeping, and when morning comes, we'll both wake up to the sun."

I think my heart just broke.

    ):

  • I feel this song is the kind of song I want written about me at my funeral.

  • the depressive beauty of this song is eclipsed by the cut off at 9:58

I nearly cried merely for the reason that the heart breaking solo got cut

  • I don't listen to this kind of music normally. But this song is so amazing and universal it's impossible for someone who has experienced death not to relate. This song was played at my dear friend's funeral. It will always remind me of him.

  • i cry almost every time i listen to this song. i listen to this song every day.

  • @JoshTom12 I couldn't handle this song everyday.

  • this song is so beautiful and poetic

  • I'm listening to this song, regretfully, because this just happened to me. the verse where he says phone call. at 10am I got a call that my friend was found dead in a ditch from an OD. This song will forever remind me of him and helps me release my greif and pain I'm feeling right now. Thank you As cities burn. "when love is enough to keep our friends alive.."

  • I could not stop listening to this song during the past couple of weeks! Although the sound quality on youtube kinda sucks...this is my favorite song on the album, although they are all good. too bad the band is disbanded, but hopefully we'll hear more from cody in future!

  • These guys are pretty good, and this song in particular is excellent, but I wish people would leave religion out of music.

  • @987657654321 Okay, I'm not trying to be mean or anything but, why would there be religious bands if they wouldn't sing about it?

And Do you even know what this song is about?

  • @XxDropDeadNikkixX

This is a religous band, and just because one song is about a friend passing doesn't mean that they aren't religious. Haven't you heard any of their other songs?

  • @987657654321 Art should be a place of openness. If an artist wants to talk about religion, let him do it. This is really just his perspective as a religious person. He's not preaching, he's just expressing how he feels through art.

  • This is such a beautiful song. I love it. Words can't describe how much I love As Cities Burn. I would give anything to see them.

  • the instrumental part is beautiful.

  • this whole cd is a masterpiece lyrically.

  • ='[

  • emo bands have got nothing on this

  • great band!!!!!!!! why do all the great bands break up? :(

  • one of their best songs for sure ! lyrics are deep and powerful

  • Tim was in a band called Welton. I'm looking for live recordings, anyone have it?

  • awesome song!!!

  • i am confused.

"some imaginery place, made up to make children behave"

    isn't this atheism?

  • @jschristian44 this band, in a lot of there lyrics, sings about very real things such as doubting and not trusting God. Theyre completely genuine in everything they sing about and they never sugarcoat it to make it sound like they have everything figured out, but more of figuring life and God out along with the listener. In the end, though, he rediscovers heaven. read all there lyrics, theyre pretty ingenius. always very thought-provoking

  • He wishing that hell was imaginary so his friend (who never found jesus and comited suicide) wouldnt suffer anymore im pretty sure

  • @jschristian44 he'd rather it be true that hell was some imaginary place. he knows that hell is real.

  • The guitar solo is really like the most inspirational thing of all time.

  • This song is PROFOUNDLY powerful..

  • This song is absolute perfection.

No questions asked. The lyrics really hit me hard. The song is excellent, and filled with so much emotion. It gets you in one of those moods where all you want to do is put the song on repeat, and just dive into it. It's a shame what happened but, I am glad they made this album. And wrote this awesome song.

  • this song makes me cry

  • my mom passed away today. My ipod was on Shuffle and this song came on. God is Real man, no doubt

  • @Habaneeboo sorry to hear that. =/

  • haunting...beautiful song.

    @ xxpbdudexx: fuck yes, agreeed.

  • @ xxpddudexx--YES. AGREED.

  • timothy was a friend of theirs that killed himself and wasn't saved. so they wrote this song for him.

  • who is timothy anyway..??

sory just find out this band...

    and its sounds soo awwsome...

  • lead singers friend who died in a car crash, i think he was in jonesetta or something like that

  • how can i download this song?

  • buy it from itunes because they deserve the money

  • timothy.............................

  • Breathtaking.

  • Breathtaking.

  • Such a powerful song and verry addicting.

  • LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE

  • This is the best album ever, right after Brother, Sister by mewithoutYou.

  • the song is about one of Cody's close friends. His name was Timothy and had taken his own life, so he wrote a song about him and them finding out that he died, and how love is enough to keep your friends alive. "It's not the cold, making my legs shake. It's Timmy's ghost, taking his place in our hearts, forever."

  • @SeizeTheSky1 and by the second verse i would assume that he did not know christ. "and its not the sound keeping me from sleep. its what jesus said about hell underneath. i think id rather believe some imaginary place made up to make children behave" and so on

  • Since YouTube allows uploads well over 10 minutes now, do you think you can upload the whole thing?

Anyway... this is such a beautiful song.

  • yeah...the last 3 minutes are reallly neccessary for the song to be complete. especially the last minute.

  • Ah this song is so powerful. It just pulls at my heart. You can hear the emotion perfectly translated through the lyrics and vocals. The anger, the denial and confusion and despair, then the glimmer of hope; one can relate if they have lost someone similarly. This song has moved me to tears on more than one occasion.

  • agreed

  • i was addicted to this song for like 2 or 3 weeks.. i didnt felt good if didnt listened it.. nither i was when i did

  • I totally agree...

  • @csdvii

Can you explain what this song is about??

    please

  • @HELLawaitsall59 Okay. You wanted to know what this song is about. So basically their friend Timothy passes away. Timothy passed away without God sending him to Hell. So they band sings about how they wish Heaven and Hell were fake. Just to keep them on the right path. But their legs are shaky and chills are going up their spine because they know it is real. They know God is real. They just want his soul to be safe. Just safe instead of being in Hell.

  • Really great song.

  • really sad. This song is a great honor to his life. My favorite song. Gah it makes me so sad.

  • I miss tim and welton

  • Timothy Anderson Jordan II comitted suicide on Dec. 13th, 2005. He was a beautiful person, amazingly talented,so full of life, always there to make me smile. I will always love you and remember you.

  • gud song it has alot of emotion in it

  • did timothy die or commit suicide? =O that's so sad...they were so close as brothers

  • i think it was a car crash but i may be mistaking

  • im upsessed with the last lyrics in the song. from the part that's not in here.

  • this song is so sad!!!

  • this song makes me cry all the time

  • im addicted to it, it makes me sad every time i listen to it.

  • If it makes you sad when you listen to it and you are addicted I think you need to stop listening to it.

  • my friend killed himself recently and this song really hit home. every time i hear it, it reminds me. it was exactly how i was feeling.

  • and I still am :D

  • I was addicted to this song.. rly..

  • i am going to tab it sooner or later if you can wait =]

  • You picked a good song. And better yet: there is no eye-catching video to distract me while I work on homework.

  • nice

  • one of my best friends just passed away and this is THE song thats helping me through it.

i message ACB on myspace about this song. at first i thought tj, the old screamer was timothy jordan. and then the album is dedicated to tomothy jordan II and i thought he died. when they got back to me, they said that its about an old friend Timothy who played for jonezetta and all american rejects. 2 years ago he committed suicide. so think bout that next time u listen to the song

  • I love this song

  • should have put some fade on the text and some pictures. It's a powerful song.

  • I'll have "The Widow" up tomorrow. I'll take your advice
