  • This ride and Soar imo are the two best rides at Epcot.

  • That's a neat ride. When my wife and I went to EPCOT in '98 it was built but wasn't working. However it was when we returned on July 4, '03. We took the ride and broke down outside on the big loop. We sat there for 5 minutes, leaning sideways at 45 degrees, until it got going again. Back inside, staff invited us the stay in the car and go around again to make up for the breakdown. Of course, we said yes and away we went again. Whee!

  • Hey thanks for the comment and neat story! Unlike most, I'm always excited about the rides breaking down. Unfortunately, I've never been on one when it did! :( Maybe someday!

  • There is an even better ride next door. After leaving the Test Track, we noticed the new Mission: Space pavilion, but it was shut. A staff member told us that it would be officially opened in August, then, half an hour later, we saw that it was open and went in. Apparently EPCOT had decided to open the ride for a July 04 public preview. Was that good timing, or what? We went to Florida to watch the Opportunity Mars Rover launch, and the Mission: Space ride was as much of a buzz. We did it twice.

  • i went on it today i waited a little over 2 hours but it was pretty cool but i hated the learning part i should have got a fastpass!

  • I done this thing and that was awesome!

  • How hot is the heat room exactly? (1-10)

It's pretty amazing how lights can make it hot btw.

  • Hello and thanks for the comment! Good question, I wonder how hot it really gets too. It feels like around 90 or so, but it may be less. Search "fun facts" on the ride and you may find some of your answers. And yes, I agree, I always thought that effect was cool. It's authentic although, I wouldn't think any heat humans could stand would truly test the durability of a car very well, so I'm guessing the real-world testing is at much hotter temperatures! :)

  • Yeah but I don't think they really do that unless its like a space shuttle or something like that...

  • not really that hot, maybe 90 o so and you're only in there for like 3 seconds

  • @SoraRoxasdude1 i went on the ride and like an 9 so yeah its pretty hot more or less 165 degrees
