Fantastic video! I majored in Graphic Design, but I never learned the flash aspect and now I'm finding that I need it! I have CS5, so I don't know where "add motion guide" is on mine and wasn't able to actually do the tutorial. I did learn a lot though! thanks!

Thanks. And I'm not sure quite what you mean when you say the background gets in the way, but it sounds like what you're talking about can be fixed by simply putting the background layer above the motion layer. This will make it so the background will appear over the character.
guys, was just wondering how do yuo set the settings in flash so you dont have to draw the shape or object in every frame, just manipulate it? What i mean is i wanna animate someone talking but i dont want to have to draw the guys face in everyframe, i just want to edit the mouth. How would you go about doing this???
I could, but there are quite a few lessons before you get to that one. Learning flash is usually a couple years of learning. In high school we took a animation course of 10, 20, and 30 level. Not until the end of 20 did we learn enough to make high grade infos, and in 30 we learned how to make dynamic flash files such as games.
