  • Think about you a lot Adam! I miss your awesome personality and your ability to make everyone laugh! RIP you are truly missed!

  • He worked for Nobles

  • rip karl miss you cuz

  • The industry could care less about the joes that work day and night so we can drive our merces and bmws

  • I hope the industry learns quickly to make sure this never happens again.

The big money the oil firms make should go towards making the industry safer in pursuit of the difficult challenges the workers have to deliver. Condolences to all the families relatives and colleagues who lost loved ones

  • I went on many trips to work on the horizon and I remember those guys who perished that night. Sometimes I even dream that I am walking into that galley to eat a meal or walking up the stairs to go from the living quarters to to the outside area and spinning the wheel on the door to lock it closed. RIP you guys...your shift is over........

  • RIP brothers

  • i watch this video at least once a month; my husband works 14 and 14; worry about him every time he is out there; that basket thingy; i have a pic of where they take them up to the rigs; i worry all the time that he will be ok; i couldn't imagine living my life without him! God bless the families that lost their guys

  • have watched this video several times; at least once a month; my husband works in the gulf of mexico; i worry about him every day that he is gone; two weeks at the time; i still think about those families that lost their loved ones; they would have closure at least if they could have seen the bodies of their guys; God bless and i worry every time my husband is gone!

  • To the 11 familes, May God wrap you up in his love and care, as you go through this time of sorrow! My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you ALL! Godspeed to all of you!

  • This was my dad's sister rig.. and he took it very personally when this all happened. =( R.I.P guys...

  • Boom

  • @TrickeyJew If you think your comment was funny...think again!!! My brother was killed in that explosion & to have a heartless jerk-off make a comment mocking them is just shallow!

  • R.I.P. from all of us here in Prudhoe Bay, AK.

  • R.I.P. from all of us in Prudhoe Bay, AK.

  • this makes me cry even though i don't know those poor people

  • RIP my brothers... however I know none of the men who lost their lives they are still brothen of just another old oilfield hand.

  • Good video , My family has also lost a family member at sea that has never been recovered, so I feel for the family members of these men that died on this oil rig. I also have family and friends that are suffering from this oil disaster so I wrote a

song about the situation if you would like to take a look. Thanks Chris

  • very sad noth said

  • will the estates of the 11 "missing" workers be subject to civil litigation?

  • Unfortunately the loss of these hard working people has been overshadowed by the extent of the disaster. It personally affected me , that I sat down and wrote my own song.and posted it as well. If your interested go to Deepwater Horizon Blowout Blues.

  • iF THESE GUYS KNEW WHAT KILLED THEM, THEYD FLIP. WHAT KILLED THEM WILL NOW SLOWLY KILL THERE FAMILIES. AND YEP BP WONT PAY A DIME, IF THEY DO THAT ADMITTS GUILT. OR WILL ONLY GO TO THE FAMILIES WITH THE BEST LAWYERS TO SHUT THEM UP. NICE JOB OBAMASS AND BP WOKING IN HARMONY.

  • Thoughts and prayers to the families. Take a look at this solution. We could stop the flow of oil in days.

BP and Coast Guard are unresponsive. I can send you the whitepaper if you are interested.

    youtube.com/watch?v=FFUGv0iffe0

  • I just want to say Thank You for sharing this. It really means alot to me for my brother Karl Kleppinger is one of the missing. it truely means alot that people are remembering those brave 11 Men.

  • my condolences go out to all of the families and friends affected by the tragedy aboard the Deep water Horizon.

  • I appologise for my earler words im just mad at the whole situation and should not have taken it out here. I was wrong and retract my words. RIP to the hard workers who lost their lives

    Im sorry

  • If all there safety measures were taken away from them they should not have continued working on the rig. Hopefully this will make the oil companies be forced into much much higher safety standards. THoes guys were in a union and should have not worked on that rig if they knew it was unsafe. Im not saying its their fault but its hard to turn down a pay check.

  • @TrickeyJew the day of the explosion bp sent the management team to congratulate them for 7 years with no injury. The ship was created in 2001, its one of the newer models by transocean, Everyone needs money and most of these workers had kids, its terrible shame to see this happen, its time for corporate punishment. The men lost there lives working for a capitalistic mastermind, who wanted money more then safety. "Cheap is sweet but will be costly".-Me

  • @TrickeyJew There are NO union workers offshore. I worked offshore for 4 years, and if I so much as uttered the word "union", I got dirty looks from my fellow workers. Most offshore workers fear that if their jobs are unionized, then they will cease to exist. Because of that though, there's no one to back them up if they refuse to work for a good reason--doing so will get them fired, and they all know it.

  • At least some one sees that these men are trying to make a living. these men are doing what they can to feed the world they live in with oil and gas and no one seems to say thank you for that. they just get mad if something goes wrong. Hey mother fuckers men die to give you fuel and heat. if you dont like that go off your self. have some respect for us.

  • why can't i make a comment

  • love this video

  • why can't i say something on here; have alot to say

  • can i say somthing

  • @gaily1959 my husband works on a supply boat taking supplies out to those rigs; i worry every time he leaves if he will come back home to me; it may have been a human error or what but what about the lives that were lost; crap on the oil spill; children and wives miss their men; if any body has a negative remark like that trickeyjew; he will go straight to where he needs too; thanks to trace adkins for this tribute; i have had it in my mind ever since it came out; i know all the words

  • @gaily1959 I agree. I too work on supply vessels working in the gulf. That trickeyjew needs to watch what he says. I know he said that he retracted the words he said, but guess what? They were already said and the damage is done. I don't think too many people know this but that song that Trace Adkins wrote about offshore drilling was written about 7 years ago. He's talkin about when he used to work on the rigs himself before his singing career started.

  • inventor of the oil spill proof new ship design that would have stopped all oil spills from happening since 1979, also #3: that the same design or very simalar will be used to plug the same bouched top kill just a few hours ago,on 05-29-10, also #4: the fact many different companies and the govt. ignored me for so long while my CIVIL RIGHTS were continually being violated to this very day! ago

  • bottom line it doesn't matter why at this point pur oceans are the life blood of this planet and the planet is a living being, a thing that has been kept secret till just recently with some new discoveries, that have yet to be publisized because more uneducated peoples would think the person supporting such a conclusion is crazy, the crazy finger pointing will end ! and a new world order is going to be

  • born out of it ! & all the media & others will be held accountable for it's lie's and deceptions. just keep watching and you will see those greedy people in charge will be on their way out just like the people of SPAIN did when thair country was also attacked and they voted evry single person in the government out of office. if the USSR, can fall so can any country essecially the USA.. AMEN !!!!!!!

  • My condolences to the families of the men that lost their lives on this rig, may God help you get through the difficult days ahead. I am truly sorry for your loss.

  • Anyone who says that the blowout and the spill is the fault of the hands who died obviously doesn't have the tiniest bit of knowledge about the drilling process or about how offshore work is in general. Even news reports make me roll my eyes because it's a whole different universe out there and reporters never really get it--but at least they don't flaunt their ignorance by trying to pin the blame on guys who willing work at some of the toughest, dirtiest, most dangerous jobs in the world.

  • fuck those guys who dont respect this video .... this is a tribute to the guys who lost their lives onboard , and some motherfuckers cocksuckers are abusing this video. hell for them .

  • I live in the midwest and I feel I have no right to say that I can imagine what it is like for the families of the lost and of those who work on oil rigs. I give my utmost respect to those who live lifestyles of working on oil rigs and in coal mines as well as law enforcement, etc (am daughter of a cop) so I have nothing but respect for those who work jobs where every day you don't know what it will be like. GOd bless the fallen.

  • Hey, My name is Ben.

Im a canadian oil field fire fighter, i would like to give my condolance to the friends and family that have losttheir loved one on the deepwater horizon... RIP.. safe journey.

  • @TrickeyJew

Only a dumb ass would say something like this, you are obviously just another asshole who wasn't hugged enough by mommy so you have to lash out at other peoples pain to make your helpless soul feel a little better. These men were just trying to make a living for their family and something went wrong. You say fuck them, I say FUCK YOU and I hope you rot in hell for all eternity. May GOD have mercy on you because I swear to you I wouldn't if I ever met you!

  • @jasone7668 Amen, brother. There's always got to be an asshole. And I would LOVE to invite this particular asshole to repeat his words in front of me. Then again, that's why he's mouthing off on the internet--he'd crap his pants if he ever had to explain this garbage to your average roughneck.

  • @jasone7668 Dumb ass? YOU'RE the dumbass who dont know about GEET. IT runs on 80%water 20%used oil. So...oil is fucking useless. Get a life asshole. Heres a challenge for you: watch these two videos on youtube "geet mower in tall grass" and "generator runs on coffee". Then google "free geet plans" and build you own engine that runs on mostly water. Then YOU TOO can honestly say that you dont really need oil either.

  • @TrickeyJew how can you say it was thier fault wat it it was unpredickabel and thye had no time to prepare?? you dont know wat it is like out thier i been thier for 2 yrs man shit can go wrong in a heart beat and they you are already over your head and cant get out of it so dont ever say shit about off shore drilling bitch boy

  • @TrickeyJew how dare you say something like that you ignorant dumb ass you are the one that is fucked up I hope you are haunted by your attitude every time you put gas in your car fuck you

  • @TrickeyJew

you are a ignorant jack ass....with out those guys you wouldnt be able to drive around in your little shitty vehicle or buy propane or nothing..but your probably too worried bout the damn beach and all that shit right? obviously youv never known anybody who has worked in the oilfield....i have been out in the patch and my cousin was on that rig when it blew...those 11 guys were killed to bring you gas and oil so give thanks for their sacrafice...geez...

  • @TrickeyJew Anyone who says that the blowout and spill are the fault of the hands who died obviously doesn't have the tiniest bit of knowledge about the drilling process or about how offshore work is in general. • @TrickeyJew

Read today's AP report on the final minutes. Those guys had every safety cut out from under them by management. And so did we. No worker wants to die, dumbass.

  • @TrickeyJew may u go to hell and never get out of there; those guys had nothing to do with what happened; it was human error maybe; but what about 911 and all that stuff; it was probably u jews that did that; so go to where u know

  • @TrickeyJew u suck

  • @TrickeyJew You disgust me!

  • I feel bad for the people lost in this accident, but have no remorse for the toll this accident will hopefully reap on BP. It's their fault that these men have lost their lives..

  • R.I.P GUYS

  • I think that no matter what race, poliical party, religion or gender...we can all agree that those eleven men were very brave and our hearts and prayers are with them and their families right now. REST IN PEACE workers of the deepwater horizon

  • I'm at a loss for words. I'm sorry seems inadequate. This was an avoidable tragedy. It's despicable that their names have never been mentioned publicly by the representatives of Transocean, Halliburton, BP or the Federal Authorities. It's time for all of them to acknowledge and accept responsibility for this CATASTROPHE! But no amount of money can ease the pain and loss of these families. My prayers are with you!

  • I'm an oilfield "brat" 49 yrs. old & have always worked in the oilfield. My heart sank when I heard of the eleven that perished. What a wonderful tribute to the men of the Horizon. RIP & prayers for the families.

  • our heart goes out to the families, of the lost 11 workers dedicated to providing the energy to keep this country going - Frank's

  • May God be with the hands that died on that rig and take care of the hurting family they left behind.

    -Nils "Floorhand"

  • HOW DID BLOW UP

  • We work in rain, sleet, hail and snow. we support our loved ones and they watch us go. when people ask what we do, we tell them storys of what weve been through. Blood, sweat, tears and cold brews. It takes a special person to do what we do, we go to work and hope for the best, and at the end of the day, May God Bless.

  • this tribute is watched with heavy heart for all the families involved, in hopes that they have the strength to have peace in the wonderful memories of their love one lost in this most tragic accident

  • jasone7668 Wonderful tribute to those brothers you obviously love.. Thank you for the sacrifice on behalf of all American's .. May God work His miracle of peace in the hearts of those who lost loved ones.. Know nothing about this type of work, but the sacrifice is obvious.. May God bless you all..

  • Hard to watch.

    but i did

  • As a retired offshore worker myself ,(Pacesetter 1) my heart and prayers are with these family members, its hard enough to leave you home and loved ones in the middle of the night to head offshore, everyone that has and still works out there knows how dangerous it is.This is a great tribute to them.

  • I just want to say that my prayers are with everyone that is hurt, safe and missing. I have a friend that had someone on that rig and it was the scariest 3 days of not knowing before he made contact from a hospital in Tx and he still cant walk. I know that prayers went out to everyone from me. I hope that everyone can find their lost ones still. Everytime I look at this, I cry! thanks for posting it.

  • Oil is the Blood of the Devil, nothing other!!

Poor Workers, no Chance of an other Job!

God bless her Familys who lost Life!

  • @toewerboy Lots of people that work in the oilfields love it and wouldn't want any other job.

  • I would have to get permission from every single person who is in the video, permission from Trace Adkins for the song, permission from the original creator. There is no way to get all of that. If the original owner of the video posts it or gives me permission I will try to contact Trace for his permission and roll with it like that and then split the money between them

  • @jasone7668 whyy u say that!

  • @jasone7668 money, its al about money ... lol

  • @jasone7668

what is the name of this song

  • @jasone7668

what is the name of this song

  • beautiful tribute. My prayers are with all the families.

  • To the families of the off-shore disaster..........may GOD be with you all.....You are in all of the oilfields hearts............GOD SPEED and GOD BLESS

  • Blessings to the families that lost or have injured loved ones on the deepwater horizon......

  • Deepwater Horizon is a new Transocean rig, i wonder why BOP doesn't work, as BP described about the matters. We, behalf of Harvey H Ward crew, Gob bless you...

  • Just a FYI, this video is so popular that YouTube wants me to link my acct to a google adsense acct and make money from views. I declined because this video is not ment to be a cash cow, it is ment as a tribute and only as a tribute.

  • @jasone7668 I wonder if any of the money could go to the families?

  • In my OPINION this sounds just like BP described it, faulty BOP's. Basically the BOP's didn't do their job and all the gas came up uncontrolably and found an ignition source and blew up. Like I said, this is my opinion and not the proven cause.

  • @jasone7668 whats about industrial sabotage of BOP's ? Honestly this is a so strange accident. Security valves didnt work too very strange at my opinion. What do you think ? That oilfield was not a common oilfield, but very important and strategical.

Anyway support to proud and corageous workers of DeepWater Horizon, one of the most advanced drilling platform wich they reach many success. GOD BLESS

  • @jasone7668 BP is trying to cover some ass. You are supposed to test the BOP stack before drilling each string or casing liner.

  • @poonseeka BP leased the rig and workers.

  • If they had a surface stack then faulty riser would have let mud and gas leak from it when the rams were closed but if they had a sub-sea stack then faulty riser wouldn't matter. If they did have faulty riser they would have haulted all drilling unroll it was fixed to prevent mud loss.

  • the riser were faulty two days before the the explosion they were having problems with it they were almost done with the drilling the bop never had a chance to do there jobs thats what i was told threw a soucre at transocean well i have family that work for them one of my family member is the purschasing clerk for that rig so idk how true this is but thats what i was told threw a good source hope that helps

  • I did not think such disasters could happen anymore with all procedures in place. I've worked for BP in Norway for 4 years and BP are really taken HSE part very seriously at rigsite....Anybody knows what really happened? What phase were the rig in, P&A? Looks like the well was open to the reservoir, and that both barriers failed - drilling mud and BOP. Or was this a underground blowout due to communication in annulus due to poor cement job for last casing shoe? RIP rig workers..

  • God is taking care of all

BP keeps being a big safely company

  • Thanks for honoring them.

  • What an incredible tragedy this was. My most heartfelt prayers go out to those who were on the platform when this happened and, of course, to the families and all loved ones of those who lost their lives. This is a wonderful tribute to them. May they never be forgotten.

  • Years ago I ran motors on the Western Simi- Pacesetter ll. I'm retired now @ 62.

Wow that was a good tribute to the men! We all knew the danger and loved the work!

  • stephenanddakemismom......AMEN! Thank you for understanding why we do what we do. It is for our wives and kids.

  • As an oilfield wife this hits so close to home. Every time i see him disappear into that airport, this is the call that i dread until i see him again!!!! I will never take that man for granted for what he goes through to support this family!!! Anyone that can spend two weeks away from his wife and kids to give them the best life possible is truly a hero!! My prayers are with these men and their families!!! God bless them all!!!

  • God Bless these Families My Bro. in Law works offshore along with many of my friends so from a family member to others My Prayers are with you.

  • my prayers are with the men and they're families. beautiful and fitting tribute.

  • Totally awesome. I work for a competing , company, but that makes this video no less meaningfull. I hope everyone in the oilfield stays safe and goes home to what means the most.

    RIP Transocean 11

  • i used to work on the horizon i couldnt believe it when i saw it my thoughts and prayers to the 11 and their families

  • Words cant describe this tragedy. Im preying for all the families of the lost crew members.

  • Great tribute. Veary well done. As one of the 1000nds of people that work off shore

we all know all to well the dangers that are out here. But it never gets any closer then, when you see something like this so close to home..

" Keeping all in our prayers, every day here in the Offshore Life"

  • I live in the same area as Mr. Dewey Revette did, and this is a tragedy!!! My father works on oil rigs and almost every man in my family and this is so sad. I feel so sorry for his two daughters because I definately do not know what I would do without my daddy. My prayers go out to the 11 mens families and all of the other men who made it home safely(They still need a lot of prayer also)!!!
