  • Way to harsh - brush on an oxalic acid and let it work its way in. Then use a pressure washer on a light setting to simply wash it off. I hate to see decks to to hell in a hand-basket using these types of methods.

  • What is the citrus stripper that you used? I'm determined to get this paint off my deck!

  • what was that guy beneath you yelling about? Something about killing your mom or first born or something, right? ; )

  • We professionally refinish decks, fencing, cedar siding and log homes daily using a low pressure restoration approach. visit timberseal, net

  • how many PSI is your pressure washer as I read if you use a too powerful psi one you can damage the wood fibers. Some people even say to not use a Pressure Washer at all. What is your thoughts?

  • dio u add the stripper to the machine?

  • @patadams1991 : No, the stripper is applied directly to the deck using a paint brush, following the directions on the stripper drum/bottle.

  • ya, but not compared to a putty knife! This looks easier than ALL the things that have been suggested to me so far

  • Hey Mark - riveting stuff!!....G&V neighbours

  • That must have taken you quite awhile. How long to sand out all the stop and start marks from the use of high pressure?

  • The HP Jet did not damage the timber. I used a citrus based stripper and then a small psi Karcher to strip the paint. Yes it did take quite some time :-)
