  • I made this today, unfortunately I used too much lemon juice (instead of the red wine vinegar). Also, the chicken burnt somewhat, maybe the heat was too high.

  • Watching this at late night is the same thing as poking your eye with a sharp object while twisting your balls. Yea I go into graphics alot.

  • Is there a reason why your hands don't appear in the video? It seems unnatural to be handling the chicken using tongs -- I would just get my hands in there and mix. I know some people are squeamish about getting germs on the food, but in the words of Jacques Pepin: "It's going in the oven anyway. If the bacteria is still living after that, it deserves to live."

  • Just made this tonight, and it tasted every bit as good as it looks in this video. This goes into my tried & true recipe collection for sure. Only prob I had was that I must have the most under-powered blender on earth, because I had a hard time getting a puree, so next time, it'll be my mini food processor.     a bit overkill .. tasted mostly of just onion.

    the previous one i made contained 15 .. that was perfect

    the first and 2nd day after the 35 clover one.. i smelled REALLY bad when i sweat...

  • Chef John. I MADE this! My husband LOVED it and so did I. So worth it. It was so easy and simple. I marinated it for 18 hours. Taste was wonderful. You were right. The garlic wasn't as sharp after being cooked. I plan on making THIS one again. THANKS again Chef John! ;-)

  • quite sexy. tried the frugal gourmet 40 clove garlic chicken many years ago, but the flavor wasn't quite as intense due to the garlic not being processed before baking. your recipe is much more garlic-intense. again quite nice. take care.
