  • Sabbath tunes down for the guitars a whole step on this one. I wonder if it's just not in a good register for him? Rob's a versatile singer for sure. His body of work speaks for it'self. Off night or Off approach? I think he was a game time decision because Ozzy wasn't able to go on.....for what it's worth :)

  • abort mission..abort mission!!!!!

  • halford is trying not to show ozzy up your insane if you think halford is overrated

  • rob doesn't sound to good why is he singing like that he should sing more like himself instead of this approach oh well to late but this is still badass

  • Rob sounds like shit, and looks like a dwarf.

  • Rob sounds like shit, and looks like a dwarf.

  • He outta know. 3:-)~ Rob rules !

  • Halford, you are useless. The most overrated vocalist ever. Utter crap.

  • @hawkwind72

I sincerely HOPE you are just trolling.

  • haha, how ironic....

  • the 1st time i seen iomni mess a song up

  • OMG!!!!!!!Halford you ruined the song........Give it up.

  • The voice of metal..Long may he sing...and be remembered..

  • Oh hell it's his birthday!!! LOL! Let him have fun - Duh he's gay y'all acting like this was new....homophobes judge lest ye be judged...he's got a sense of humor - get over it! LOL!!!

  • @jbjester1 You thought your comment was so earth shattering that you had to repeat it? And I see you're one of those chronic "LOLers". LOL LOL LOL

  • @7188181 Not exactly....It is a shame that you're that bitter to feel the need to focus on me as I was just making a simple comment - enjoy the video - Relax.

  • Oh hell it's his birthday!!! LOL! Let him have fun - Duh he's gay y'all acting like this was new....homophobes judge lest ye be judged...

  • This sucks but is cool at same time!

  • @littleboeep couldn't be more agree with that

  • TAKE THAT DIRTY OLD MAN OFF THE STAGE. HE'S GG ALLIN'S MEANT TO BE HUSBAND. LOL.

  • @wesleydeathcrow FCK U, POSER TENNAGER NIRVANA LOVER. THIS GUYS IS THE BEST VOCALIST OF METAL EVER. SAY WHERE U LIVE AND I'LL KILL U

  • @predador21 THEN GO SUCK THAT DIRTY OLD MAN'S DICK THEN. KILL ME HOW??? I'D LOVE TO KNOW. <l:P

  • LMFAO. THIS IS A FUCKN JOKE.

  • An on the spot impromptu thing. I think it's utterly amazing that Rob knew all the words to the songs. That shows how much respect he has for BS.

  • @BCRSIX Rob's "respect" for Sabbath came from the cue cards in front of him.

  • @7188181 Oh Yeah, I forgot about cue cards. This guy could be the next President of the United States. Give him a teleprompter and he's ready to go.

  • this is why I love JUDAS PRIEST. black sabbath is mono , PRIEST is 5+1 HD .

  • halford is the metal god!

  • This sucks..Halfords not being himself...not one single screaming high?

  • @SuperIntuitive1 Well this proves his musicianship. Why would he do a falsetto with Black Sabbath, clearly he knows when is right and not right to do such things. It also proves your lack of common sense.

  • @pachendrix URAFucktard!

  • @pachendrix

falsetto and Rob Halford are two things that doesn't match :)

  • @guitartur You're right, he just uses them 95% of the time so they don't match at all. T_T

  • @pachendrix

Except for painkiller, can you tell me another song that Halford uses falsetto??

  • @guitartur Wow, thanks for letting me know you don't know shit about Halford nor Priest.. Dreamer Deceiver, Exciter, Dissident Aggressor, Screaming for Vengeance, Riding on the Wind, Freewheel Burning, Metal Meltdown, the list goes on. But theres just a few to cover most albums prior to the reunion(not counting bullshit Jugulator nor Meltdown cause THATS NOT PRIEST). Oh and btw, falsettos are not just singing high pitched, those "screams", as people call them, are falsettos as well. ;)

  • @pachendrix

    Rob said once:

"I've never sung in falsetto. Falsetto is a soft version of the high range. It's like faking a high and I've never done that. All of my highs are pure and intense in the octave that I am performing them in. When Phil Anselmo said to me, 'You never sang falsetto -others do but you don't, bro.' - that's a compliment."

    - Rob Halford, Metal Maniacs, May 2005

  • @pachendrix

Sorry by saying, but I think it's you that don't know shit about Halford nor Priest.

All of those songs were sang in Full Voice, not falsetto at all!

  • @guitartur LOL Ok I get it, you don't even know what a falsetto is.

  • @pachendrix You appear to be retarded. 'Falsetto' doesn't mean "any high pitched singing", falsetto means a particular technique for singing high where you only use the edges of the vocal cords instead of the whole width of them. The resulting sound is weedy and girly, like Frankie Valii. Only a handful of male singers have been able to sing very high with normal full-vocal-cord technique instead of falsetto. Halford and Robert Plant are the most obvious.

  • bielive me Rob Halford is a Goblin

  • Who knows anyone cooler than Tony Iommi?? It can't be done, he reeks of coolness, age has nothing on Iommi.

  • Who e

  • Bill Ward ! Legend !!!!

  • I kinda like where he starts off, but the 2nd line kinda kills it. Sorry Rob, leave bluesy stuff alone dear Lord

  • Why was Rob with Sabbath?

  • @RiverMpls Ozzy couldn't sing for this show, so they asked Rob to join.

  • u can tell bills spirit is still there. I hope if theres another reunion that its still there

  • Boehoehoe.

  • Rob only sounds good with Priest..this was horrible

  • But if this is Rob Halfford singing...

fuck I can sing that song much better. que paso? roberto, te fuiste en nervios con los black sabado o te cagaste en los pantalones en tu birth day??????

  • EPIC!!

  • No Bass...

  • sound sucks. poor rob... and poor iommi's guitar!

  • OZZY>HALFORD

HALFORD IS VERY GOOD BUT HIS VOICE DON'T FIX WITH SABBATH!!!!

  • @KyriakosZone ozzy may sing sabbath better but halford is by far better than ozzy

  • Everytime I hear RH with BS I think he is being conservative. Like he has too much respect to go all out. Would love him to be a little more aggressive with that one and get into some falsetto.

  • @reissue couldn't agree with you more...he's def. holding back and trying not to overshadow anyone...nice guy!! i repsect that..

  • tony iommi is the best

  • almost oz

  • rob kinda sounded like ozzy at first

  • The Metal God!!

  • it's ok.sounds like they're having fun.

  • how funny, the reason why Halford is having difficulty singing with the right vioice is his voice is just too dynamic. Notes others have to push themselves to hit and maintain, are a walk in the park for Halford and as a result a lot of the intense singing we expect for this song sound very mellow when halford does it, regardless it's a pleasure to hear. Sabbath and Halford are great!

  • funny.. Rob halford singing "Fairies" wear boots..haha

  • @Mortslake lololol...no shit....hes ROB but still a brown eye bandit

  • @nirvanaispus ur an idiot.

  • Tony Iommi is my favorite guitarist

his riffs are f**king great. and the album Iommi ....

he with Geezer, Bill and Ozzy created heavy metal

  • nobody talks shit about RONNIE JAMES DIO. THEY WILL ALL DIE.

  • i wish he could have sang like himself. i don't like it when he tries to sound like ozzy. he should show off that amazing range that he possesses. halford is a great singer and he could do better than this. a sabbath/halford studio album would ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes a sabbath ronnie album would really kick ass!! fuck ronnie!!!!!

  • oops sorry my wrong typing im a bit excited about canada beating norway anyway, i meant ya a sabbath halford album would kick ass fuck ronnie!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @malscott

thank you for agreeing with me. a ronnie sabbath would kick ass. if you talk shit about ronnie then you know NOTHING.

  • sorry to burst your bubble but i corrected myself on the statement i typed. i still say and will always say ronnie dio sucks ass!! i dont care if you think i know nothing. i think a halford sabbath album sure would be a real treat!!

  • yet another sabbath ronnie album would suck ass!! and does as they are calling themselves heaven and hell and have a album called bible black which i think is pablum.

  • judas priest nostradamus is far more superior in every way than heaven and hell bible black

  • no black sabbath = no judas priest. PERIOD

  • no chuck berry or little richard = no rock n roll!!

  • agreed

  • i was at this OzzFest, in Camden N.J. This is only the 2nd time Rob has ever sang for Sabbath. (the 1st time was in Costa Mesa, CA.) btw, JP also performed at this OzzFest in 2004. a day after Robs birthday,so that would make it on Aug.26.

  • cool!! ya rob sure looked like he was having lots of fun. he was just doing what we all love to do, sing a great black sabbath song. he gets the privilege of singing with the real band. we just sing it in our bedrooms or wherever :)

  • i was just viewing some videos from that costa mesa show. i liked them better than OzzFest, Rob was singing Sabbath w/ Dio songs, using HIS voice.(at Ozzfest, he was trying to sound like ozzy) really awesome, you should check 'em out!

  • @pretzeldog67 it did sound better when rob sang with his voice....a was lucky to be at the second show

  • Sounds quite strange...

  • Comment removed

  • Ronnie is good singer but he sounds best on the albums, I dont dig him live too much. Ian gillan was awesome, he is a great amazing singer. I think Rob does probably the best with the old sabbath songs because ozzy may not be the best singer in the traditional voice but he has a very unique voice and style in singing. plus usually a great live act or performer in general more on the theatric end of it all.

  • rob and ozzy are the best ronnie sucks ass!!

  • lol. you know nothing. ronnie beats them both and he is 67 years old!!!!!!!!! you know NOTHING

  • no way ronnie sucks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • In response to a few comments:Rob's not that bad-sounds like the way he used to sing when J.P. was more blue's/rock.Jake E. Lee sucks nuts! And as far as the Speak Of The Devil album-it was rushed! But NOT because of the Live Evil Black Sabbath record-but because of Randy's death(r.i.p.) Ozzy didn't want to go on but still owed the record company one more album so he said fuck it-I'll just make a live album of Sabbath songs and give that to them and say "I'm done"-here's your album-laters!!!OZZY!!

  • Too bad he tried to sound like Ozzy, I know he can still sing better than he does here.

  • @Terminxman no hes singing it totally different than ozzy. cant you hear that?

  • i like the way rob sings this song. looks like they all had a great timegood to see bill beatin the hell out of the drums!

  • Fuck Jake E. Lee... (in response to some dudes comment) Ozzzy said it best when he got rid of Jake E. Lee and his coming late to shows and rehearsals... "THIS IS THE OZZY OSBOURNE BAND, NOT THE JAKE E.LEE BAND"... hhehhehee

  • And really, who would know better than Rob Halford?

  • Hate to say this but Jake E. Lee pulled off a better version of this in 1984 or so . Much more fluid.

  • If you mean Speak of the Devil, it wasn't Jake

  • I know it was Brad Gillis and I did not care for that album at the time ,But noe Im older I may have to look it up again. I think that S. O. T. D. album was rushed out there to counter A live Sab album released I cant remember the name. Brad Gillis is a joke compared to Jake, Randy or Iommi.

  • brad gillis

  • this is strange

  • that's cool. I like all these musicians. I hope this is not the same mix the audience heard. WHERE ARE THE DRUMS?? I can't hear them.

  • yeah and it,s bill ward too, I just got doen fiddlin' with the EQ . .funny you should say that.

  • lol, the bro

  • Halford, Gillan, Ozzy, Hughes ... Anyway DIO era is the best. Long live Sabbath!!!

  • Don't Forget The late great Ray Gillen and Tony Martin of course

  • ... And of course the greeeeeeeeeeeeeat Ray Gillen and Tony Martin eras ... Long live Sabbath ... thanx

  • that's some weak stuff for halford. I feel bad for him and worse for everybody that paid to be there :(

  • nice tits..ozzy IS god..

  • @iAmFriggenBored halford is way better than Ozzy. Ozzy was good in Sabbath and in a few Ozzy albums but over all Ozzy is shit.

  • damn, i was expecting rob to do a realy high pitched scream at the YEAH!!! part......

  • this is great, original is better, but much love a respect to Rob

  • NOobskin for the win , do you even KNOW what Faries wear Boots is about ? About a motherfuckin mushroom trip you noob xD Get your shit right before you start commenting bitch shit

  • It's actually about a beating Ozzy took from skinheads in the UK in 1970 - fairies wear boots!!! Sometimes...

  • Lol actually a combo of both...it's about Ozzy gettin beat up by nazi skinz while on shrooms and probably pot too.

  • That was hilarious, but shame on you!

  • @VictorNYC FUCK YOU!!!!! Halford will kick your ass!!!!!!

  • haha it sounds so weird

without ozzy's AI AI AI in the beggining :p

  • he should of used his priest voice but i think its still good

  • we are power -die and dont fuck kiler voice band ....

  • this is awesome i wish that rob would have made the song his own though instead of singing in the one low tone reguardless halford rules and it's great that he was able to fill in rock on rob hors up /''/

  • is that rob halford or anton lavey? lol

  • look's like Rob's taking advantage of the Ozzy Teleprompter , why not it's there already

  • Plus he had no rehearsal with them, so he needs to learn the words somehow. :-)

  • As someone who was at this show I gotta say it was a treat beyond belief...I'm the biggest Sabbath fan you will ever meet, but lets be honest...Ozzy is a mere shell of his former self. To see my favorite band of all time fronted by one of the greatest metal singers of all time, for one night only, is something I will never, ever forget. Cheers to Rob for putting on the big shoes after killing the crowd with his own band, and cheers to the Sabs for forging on without the long-haired deadweight.

  • @Toka78 excellent comment Toka! that show was excellent as well, i was also there.

  • dang i can see how out of tune tony is now. jeeze

  • he's not out of tune, he tunes down to ease the tension on his fingers.

  • happy b day ROB

    Have some fun bro!!!

  • Tony + Rob = Amazing. Rob's voice goes really well with the sabbath tunes, kinda in between Ozzy and Dio.

  • This is Pretty awesome

  • His performance with Sabbath in 1992 was far better indeed. In this gig, he just "saved" them for a second time

  • Bill Ward nuff said

  • ya i agree and i also think he sound better on the dio tunes than ozzy's
