Karl rocked as Bones, I love the new Star Trek movie, JJ did a tremendous job and so did all the actors but Karl was my favorite . . . and I wasn't even a Trekkie before I saw this flick, now I gotta go back and watch the original series and maybe Deep Space 9 and all the rest

aww I love Karl he is so sweet and man can he act! Bones was one of my faves in the original and Karl played him so fantastically and made him his own. Definately one of the best things about ST11 was Karl. I love his faces that he pulls and humour. It`s great to see a true Trekkie get to play such a fantastic role and enjoyhis work. :D

On another note, wow is he gorgeous :D

Karl Urban was defo one of the best things about the '09 movie - 'Bones' is my fave ST character ever and I think he played a wonderful tribute to the gorgeous Deforest Kelley's work.

It was also so lovely to see Karl speak so humbly and respectfully about the 60's show and its actors and I gotta say I didn't mind the interviewer at all - I was thrilled he addressed Deforest's passing and Karl working without having to meet him.... no doubt he'd be very proud of Karl's performance :-)

I completely agree with you (on everything you said, actually. haha).

I'm a bit of a Treker thanks to my dad. Watching the original series was always one of our favorite things to do, and Bones was also my favorite character, and so when I saw how well Karl did it, I was absolutely thrilled. I mean, he was amazing.

Much agreed! The whole movie was awesome, but Karl was the best part, hands down. He was so much like De in this movie; it was scary - he looked like him, had his mannerisms, and sounded just like him! If De were alive to see this movie, he'd be mighty proud of Karl.
