It is interesting that the BBC waited until October 2007 to report the abuse of human rights by the government in Uzbekistan, especially when you consider the fact that the BBC could have reported all of the information included in this piece -- and more -- in 2003, if they had chosen to interview the then ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, a man who lost that very job in 2004 for highlighting the brutal and oppressive nature of the Uzbek government.
