One way to color the water is to soak a highlighter in the water but i prefer to mix dishsoap i use palmolive and yellow and orange work pretty good. Im sure green would too

Everyone.

To do the Glowing Bottles thing.

1) Go purchase glow in the dark (not neon / blacklight) paint / ink.

2) Fill a bottle with water, pour ink / paint inside of it (make sure it is NOT blacklight reactive paint, because chances are it will be a neon color, and will be noticeable inside the bottle when lights are not on)

3) It should be a slightly yellow-ish color in regular light.

4) Turn your blacklight on, post a video, make thousands beg you how you did it.

@iRawrDinsawr no, the weak output of black lights isn't considered sufficient to cause DNA damage or cellular mutations (cancer/other health issues) in the way that direct sunlight can. Tanning bed uv lights are tho, that's just as bad as being in the sun

@ViolenceII yeah, thats what i figured but using a phosphorescent powder or paint i think would be brighter, plus phosphorescent paint is badass in general get the glow paint from united nuclear, and paint a mural or sections of your room. the black light keeps it hella charged only problem is trying to sleep while your walls are hella bright

@evilninjamonkey666 I believe that its mixing fluorescent dye (the stuff found in highlighters) and water. You have to take out the felt part of the pen and soak it in water for a while, stir it up then pour it in, it glows under a blacklight.

no problem. i don't know if it will work with dry ice but i know it should work with an fog machine. and try chilling the fog juice. i never tried this, but it might make the fog stay low to the ground like dry ice. if you do. please make a vid of it. lol XD

@tshkwmt Hay heres a way to make the fog glow brighter in black light. but it depends on the fog machine. if it use that fog juice then take an yellow highlighter and then tear it open for the ink cartiage and desolve the ink in the fog juice. it will make it yellow but the heater that vaperizes the Juice will also vaoperize the ink, suspening the color. and highlighter glows really bright in UV light. or you can use invisible ink. but try in little amount. to much will lower the fog output.

@tshkwmt 40 watts. With enough I suppose you'd be able to see surrounding but it would be like how things are at the club. And it won't illuminate but you should be able to see the fog with the blacklights on.

i read the other comments but I am still not sure about how the bottles are glowing,I would like to do something similar,maybe fill tonic water in half the bottles so they glow bright blue and do the thing you did to the other half so they glow yellowish,can you please tell in a bit detail as to what you did to the bottles?

@TheRiturajgupta You fill a bottle with water and you put an open highlighter into the water point down and it will seep drain into the water. Unfortunately Green and yellow look the same under blacklight and pink is the only other one that actually glows and it's faint at best. So as far as highlighters go, you have a choice between a dull pink glow or yellow like you see here.

@andykuna My mother wouldn't allow me to paint my walls black so I chose "Crimson" or blood-red instead. Darker colors definitely help bring out the brighter colors under black-light and when you wash the paint off it won't leave a ghost-image.
