  • Likes this movie, although it really reminds me of Mass Effect for some reason. Probably the lens flares.

  • anyone know the music that is playing?

  • @malvo44 Two Steps From Hell - Freedom Fighters

  • I am a Star Trek fan (I have seen all the movies and various tv shows) and I will admit that this was the best Trek movie since Khan. It has energy, lightness and sexiness that has not been seen since the TOS. The first time Kirk sat in the command chair I was reminded by William Shatner's line from Generations:"As long as you sit in that in chair, you can make a difference." Awesome moment.

  • GREAT MOVIEE !!!

  • This was good as a standalone movie but essentially it was a Star Trek movie made for Star Wars fans who had never seen Star Trek.

  • To all those who want to avoid the giant religious argument going on here, I sum up the review of the movie:

Nice summer action no brainer, but has little in common with the franchise if you seek a deep meaningful movies like previous ones.

  • This trailer ALWAYS Gives me the chills! Amazing Trailer and movie!

  • @SUPPORTOURTROOPS365 DAMN! MAN! that´s is for sure!!

  • This is why Key Arts are so important in Hollywood. The movie makers dont make the trailers, some of the most talented vendors do.

  • Comment removed

  • This is still the most epic trailer ever.

  • The Epicness is unbearible

  • WTH! A debate on religion is occurring in the comments section? What is wrong with you people?! Science fiction enthusiasts used to argue about important stuff! like whether Star Wars or Star Trek was the better sci-fi series!

  • @O1LSL1CK I vote Star Trek.

  • @Mitchz95 Agreed, although even the most ardent Trekkie has to admit: if you could have one item from any fictional universe, it would be a lightsaber.

  • wtf I came here to check peoples comments so I can know if this movie is worth watching and people are having religious arguments... come on now

  • @dablaksanta Lol, I know. Sorry about that. If you like action flicks and/or sci-fi, you might like this. It's very different from previous Trek movies, though. Try reading reviews on Rotten Tomatoes or the Internet Movie Database.

  • @dablaksanta its worth watching. especially when it was out in IMAX theatres.

  • @dablaksanta Heard a 2nd one is being made!

  • too bad this movie was a fail... :(

  • I've seen the movie a few times and I still get goosebumps every time I watch this trailer....

  • What is the name of the soundtrack in trailer? I like it very much!

  • @tangpak The song is called "Freedom Fighters", by Two Steps From Hell.

  • @Mitchz95 Thanks so much. The soundtrack is really good for this movie, but it isn't input to OST.

  • i came here to read comment on the movie STOP THE FUCKING CONVERSATIONS FAGGETS

  • do you HAVE god autograph i will recognise it . no you dont so why say rubbish . fact is the bible itself does not even say it is from god, and god did not even bother giving it a name . bible is just a manmade word. since they saw that it has NO name. haahahaha

  • YOUR the one making taallll claims and im saying prove it, where in your bible does it say , mathew, mark, luke, john, ect are from god. that is a simple question. you are saying it and im saying your own bible DOES NOT say it is from god, so why are you saying it, do you even know how and when the bible was brought together, how they chose wich books to add in bible or not. A VOTE decided jesus was god. before 325ad, jesus was not called god by anyone. after it was forced by xtians to say he is

  • as i thought you have NO PROOF it is from god. just believin some books as from god, is the same as indians or others saying the same rubbish . nor does the bible say it is gods word. so keep deluding yourselfs. from god my arse,

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • you are claiming it is from god . well prove it . just saying it is does not mean jack . where does it say it is from god.

  • WHO told you the bible , let alone every single book in the bible is from god?

  • Comment removed

  • Gay.

  • a new reality IS an alternate timeline. time has changed , daniels should get involved. its just star trek writers creating a bullshit story that means nonsense just like christianity...

  • @mrlogicalman1 Trying to pick fights with Christians? It's one thing to hate a movie but to insult people who outnumber you 70 to 1 I suggest you either apologies and erase all your hate speech postings or learn to sleep with one eye open, not all Christians are as forgiving as I am.

  • @Trekfreek you keep your shit to urself ive beaten christans all my life., nor do i care about some retarded HUMAN WORSHIPPER

  • Comment removed

  • @mrlogicalman1 PS. Jesus is the reason for the season.

  • @Trekfreek Are you retarted? Star trek was amazing

  • @Trekfreek Jesus christ! You are some over obsessed trekkie

  • @SlyGlacier I'm also a Christian & I take great offence of you using our Lord's name as a curse word! Let's take a look at the word "fan". "Fan" is short for "Fanatic" as in "over obsessed". Now let’s look at the word "retarded" ”Retarded-Meaning intellectually or emotionally challenged (Encarta Dictionary)” By this I can honestly conclude that people who think "Star Trek (XI) was amazing" are the real retards because it was anything but intellectually or emotionally stimulating.

  • @Trekfreek Your a christian and your calling me a retard for liking something that dosen't make sense. Wow. I have an idea. You dnt diss me for loving something that only to you makes no logical sense, and I won't diss you for loving something that everyone including science and the laws of the universe proves makes no logical sense

  • @SlyGlacier You asked me the question "Are you retarded?" and I answered. You don't like my answered then you should not have asked the question. Second don’t compare your love of fiction to my love of the truth. PS 75% of the world's population is Christian including scientists. The existence of God has been proven billions of times. No one has ever proven that the universe just POPPED into existence. Religion is logical, even the writers of True Trek recognized this...

  • @SlyGlacier ... The high priestess Tapow ("All of Vulcan":Kirk), Taelon, and Sybok's mother. Sybok's belief in God came from his mother. Spock's family has a temple (TAS) and Gene Roddenberry himself wrote the episode that recognized Jesus Christ as the Son of God (Bread and Circuses). Also if you don't believe in Christ then why use his name at all? Now that is truly illogical!

  • @Trekfreek Christianity is quickly dying out. 20% within the last decade and quickly declining more. Exspecially in america now. Give me an explination how one man can create a bout that holds 2 of every animal species. Explain how two people can just have poped on the earth along with animals when there is billions of half life uncovered fossils that proves evolution. Do you know what I can explain. Christianity has caused some of the worlds most horrible unjustly events

  • @SlyGlacier OH shut the fuck up! Where do you get these lies from? I have had to prove people like you wrong all fucken fall and winter, and they still refused to admit that they were wrong even given two tons of evidence...So I'm only going to say this once. ONE Get your facts straight before you make broad statements like "Christianity is quickly dying out" because it is not. Statistics show that 80% of Americans consider themselves Christian. That’s 8% more than just 10 years ago-

  • @Trekfreek Christianity has filled the world with pure evil. The dark ages because there were people who chose to not beleive in your god were mass murdered, thus forcing millions of other people to believe. And it spread. the Nazi Holocaust was casued by the religious differences that gave christions the excuse to service entirely non-religious goals. Same with the Crusades. The Bar Kochba revolt, the Masada, The Spanish Inquisition, The Ottoman Empire, The Salem Witch Trials

  • @SlyGlacier Hitler's Christian church did not recognize Christ from the scripture. The Crusades was a war over land stolen from the church. Christians were not involved in The Bar Kochba revolt or the battle at the Masada. The Ottoman Empire was Hindu not Christian. The Salem Witch Trials was done out of irrational fear by a very small group. The Spanish Inquisition was instantly stopped by the Roman church when it was finally made known to the Pope (they only had horses)...

  • @Trekfreek Your lying. Are you kidding me? From the scripture too. How do you know your God exists when there is dozens if not hundreds of other religions out there. I guess you were lucky to be born into the right one huh? What makes yours more believable than others.

  • @SlyGlacier What makes you think we were born into Christianity?

  • @Trekfreek Christianity has single handedly slaughter and mamed, unjustively stoned and massacerd millions of innocent people because there are people who blindly believe so hard in something that clearly dosen't exist and will force people to move to there side, just for having an opinion or thought. Luckliy, chrisitianity is dying out, at least here and in europe, faster in this decade then any preceding it. Because people don't have to fear physical retribution for actualy thinking otherwise

  • @SlyGlacier Christianity is increasing percentage wise not decreasing. Only people who refuse to do research and get all the facts repeat the lies told to them by Socialist teachers and socialist politicians. Get the facts next time. I'm done with this conversation. I leve you with this piece of advice, learn to separate opinion written as facts from actual facts or you will live in ignorance for the rest of your life.

  • @SlyGlacier Consider this: how do you KNOW that God didn't create all those fossils and everything to test our faith? Undoubtedly you're angrily refuting this, but now that you've heard that possibility you'll have to rely on your faith (for lack of a better word) to keep believing that Christianity is wrong. We take the same leaps of faith to believe that Christianity is right.

  • @Mitchz95 What I have faith in is this. How can you know your God exists. When there is dozens if not hundreds of other religions. I guess you were just lucky to be born into the RIGHT religion huh? God created fossils to test our fate. He also created bones of preevolutionised animals and humans and dinosaurs to test our faith and instead believe in evolution too huh? Thats just another excuse to blindly follow your religion

  • @SlyGlacier So we're actually not that different, if you think about it. Keep that in mind the next time you slam Christians for believing things without proof.

  • @SlyGlacier PS. If you did not want to get insulted you should not have insulted me first! “He who throws the first punch is the first one to run out of ideas.” H.G. Wells.

  • Where the fuck is chewbacca?

  • After 30 years....in 2013.....we finally get to once again see KAHNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant wait.......I sound like a total dork, but I grew up watching star trek...the tv series....and all the great films in the 80's and 90's. Would be cool if Abrams puts Shatner in the second movie just as he did Nimoy in the first......that is, if Shantner is still kicking. LOL

  • @ElliottAS i hope they bring back shatner's kirk one last time

  • @elcap22 That would be nice. But how can they? Shatner's 80 years old and Kirk died in Generations. It wouldn't work.

  • I am a star trek fan and i was SO suspect when this movie came out. I thought Abrams did a great job and the cast was excellent. Great choice for Kirk and Urban did a SICK job of playing Deforest Kelly's character of "Bones" McCoy. Favorite scene is when Nero's ship was tracking Spocks tiny ship before it crashed and out of the haze of space Enterprise appeared firing its photon torpedos. Great movie. Cant wait for the follow up movie in 2013. Hope they chose a good person to play KAHN!!!!!

  • @ElliottAS they did

    his name was Ricardo Montalban

there's no need or excuse to recast Khan, leave well enough alone, come up with something original

  • KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

  • This trailer was probably mixed up together by Abrams....whadabeast.

  • สุดยอดมาก

  • I think this trailer is even better than the movie!^^

  • im am vary surprised they have not made the sequel yet i thought it was a great film RT gave it 95% and THEY JUST NEED TO MAKE IT AWWWW but i found out it was in the works for 2013 but 4 years later come on

  • "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."

  • Your from the future do they still have sandwiches there. James doohan and simon pegg live long and prosper.

  • I'm not even a trekkie and I could watch this movie thousands of times and it never gets old. Or I guess these are the makings of me becoming a trekkie, haha

  • best trailer!

  • wasn't a fan of Star Trek, I am now.

  • I watched this movie about 50 times now ,, in every time I watch I discover something new makes me love this movie ,,, =D

  • Can anyone PLEASE tell me what track this? Is it on the soundtrack?

  • @HeWhoFightsFoo FREEDOM FIGHTERS - TWO STEPS FROM HELL

  • this is shit. how can history change after they save it so many times. why dint time agents like daniels stop this change. seven of nine went to future starship relativity so how can spock change it

  • @sajakram1 I know this sounds weird, but history didn't actually change. When Nero went back to 2233, his actions somehow created a new reality - watch TNG episode "Parallels"; it explains the concept. So Daniels and the Relativity wouldn't really have any reason to get involved. (that explanation is canon by the way - check out the Memory Alpha page "Alternate Reality")

  • @Mitchz95 You are wrong. Time does not operate that way. You are confusing multi universe theory for time travel theory. To understand time just watch Back to the Future and Star Trek TOS: "The City on the Edge of Forever". When time is rewritten it changes everything and the original time line is erased. "Parallels" is the result of multi universes co-existing also not one of the better TNG episodes.

  • Comment removed

  • @Trekfreek I know that's how it normally works, but for some reason the new movie created an alternate universe that runs parallel to the reality we see in the rest of the franchise. Go to the Memory Alpha page called "Alternate Reality" (can't post the link for some reason). MA is a wiki for Star Trek CANON.

  • @Mitchz95 Look I don't care what one fanatic fan site made by Trek fanatics who like anything with the name Star Trek attached to it says. I go by what was written in the movie tie-ins and the movie. There was not one mention of an alternate universe in the books or movie of this stupid ass film. They said it in the movie not just once but all throughout the film. "Alternate time line" and "Altered past".

  • @Mitchz95 The only reasons you and Memory Alpha made up the whole alternate universe excuse was to trick your selves into believing that all Trek is still cannon. Because if it was not you would have to chose between this action packed, no point, bad remake of Star Wars OR the last 40 years of Trek. NEWS FLASH not all trek is canon. Gene even said, before he died, that some of TOS and TNG was not Canon.

  • @Trekfreek READ THE BACKGROUND INFO SECTION. The intent to make it an alternate universe was there since the beginning. The writers explained it in an interview BEFORE THE FILM WAS RELEASED. Memory Alpha deals with the movies and the shows. If you want an example of a "fan site made by trek fanatics who like everything with the name Star Trek attached to it" look up Memory Beta, the non-canon wiki.

  • @Mitchz95 Any movie that needs explanation that is not in the movie is not a good movie! It was first described as an alternate universe after its debut in Australia, when Ultra Trek fanatics (no life trekkers) traveled to Sydney to watch “The Wrath of Kahn”. After being the first public people to see the film they all said “I love the new Alternate universe” The writers stole the excuse from them in order to get all Trekkers to watch it. As a said before I don't trust any fan site!

  • @Trekfreek I never said it was a great movie. I'm just explaining something that 99% of viewers never learn about. You're right, they should have explained it better (though I'm not really sure how they could've done it inside the movie). As for the "stealing the excuse" argument, I never heard that but it sounds plausible. Still, it's canon according to the movie's storywriters.

  • @Mitchz95 Oh please... This movie is as much canon to Star Trek as the Mission Impossible movies are to the Mission Impossible series' (60's & 80's), which is ZERO!

  • @Trekfreek Yes, they said in the movie that it was a new timeline. But how could the characters know it's a different universe?

Maybe you're right. Maybe the whole alternate universe thing is meant to keep fans of the franchise from getting upset. But like it or not, it's a canon explanation. That means for all intents and purposes of the franchise, it's true. If you don't like it, fine. Pretend it overwrites everything. I really don't care. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

  • @Mitchz95 The Spocks could know using math and explaining why the paradoxes are not destroying the universe. But they did not explain it they just say that "paradoxes aren’t destroying the universe" LAME! It's an explanation it is not a cannon one because it is not in the film or the book. In fact there is nothing in this film or its many books that fits within the Star Trek universe. Data erases his brother, Picard does nothing, Romulans are a rip off of Kryptonians (Superman)...

  • @Trekfreek I never disputed any of that. But officially, it IS canon if the writers and studio say it is. As I said, believe what you want to believe. It doesn't make any difference to me.

  • @Mitchz95Nero is a moron, Evil Romulans outfit a mining ship with Borg weapons & defenses that can’t stop a primitive ship from damaging it but can wipe out whole armadas. Old Spock has Magic goo that can make intelligent black holes (They pick and chose what to destroy and what to send back in time). This is just from the prequel comic books.

  • at least the hotness that was t'pol had been around before history was fu**ed up by mr.s***e director

  • STFU if you found out that the music is made by Two Steps from hell and it is called freedom fighters.

  • I hate Time Travel story lines because Alternate Realities for me do not exist I agree with the Vulcans on that subject whats more its the idea that although we see what happened the film yeah fair enough but Elder Spock in the past now has the time to actually stopping the Star from destroying Romulus in the timeline he is in thus preventing a madman in the first place! I know I know I am a story killer lol...

  • This was an awesome & epic film! I loved the fact that it was actually sad and dramatic unlike the previous Star Trek films.

The dialogue between Kirk & Nero in the end was epic!

When he revealed that he actually knew him from earth's history, but that was another future that he would deprive him from by killing him as he did his father.

  • The film was good, but not amazing. Looking forward to the sequel though.

  • anyone know what the song is called?

  • @MrCheesedogim Two Steps From Hell - Freedom Fighters

  • awesome trailer but i was so dissapointed by the movie :(

  • @cyberk25 sucks to be you. I enjoyed it.

  • probably the best trailer i've seen to date!

  • comedy, action, story, hot girls all you need in a great movie are found in this movie

  • ***Someone who knows PHYSICS reply***

Hi everyone, how is it possible to attain WARP speed? For you Star Trek fans, how fast is the USS Enterprise traveling at WARP speeds? I read than the speed of light is 186,000 per sec and I heard that in maximum warp...the USS Enterprise nearly travels at the speed of light.

Someone let me know, thank you for the inputs!!!

  • @Akuma0621 From what I understood. Warp 1 is light speed, hence in the movie first contact the first warp ship hit warp speed when it hit the speed of light.( approaching light speed Cochran blurted out just before they hit warp speed) In star trek voyager they were 80,000 light years from earth. at maximum warp it was going to take them 80 years to get home so that means they would be traveling 1000 light years a year. so maximum warp is 1000x the speed of light if my math is correct

  • @bigrigbob2010 You are close. Your math is right on the money but you forget that the Voyager warp speed is the original trans-warp. Their warp 1 is warp 100x the speed of light. Their maximum warp is 9.6 (warp 10 rounded up) So a cursing speed of warp 6 is 600x the speed of light. Maximum warp is 960x the speed of light.

  • @Trekfreek What episode did they say voyager's warp 1 is 100x the speed of light?

  • @Sheak123 No Voyager episode. In fact no episode says it. Gene Rodenberry said that the new warp speed in TNG was Trans warp speeds. Besides it only makes sense. If the refit of the Enterprise's canon maximum warp is 12 (and it is) and the Enterprise D "travels at much greater speeds" with a maximum warp of 9.6 then it is simple logic that Warp 1 is Trans warp 1 aka 100x the speed of light.

  • @bigrigbob2010 According the the official numbers, the maximum speed would allow them to get back to Earth in three years. The speed of warp appears to change depending on the episode and the plot

    I am Disappoint.

But yes Warp 1 is supposed to be light speed.

  • To this day I have never seen a better trailer

  • I love the original Star Trek Series

I love all the other Star Trek Series

I love all of the Star Trek movies

I love this Star Trek movie<3

I can't wait for the next one coming out<3 :'D

  • @4EverSeverusSnape and when is it coming out? :)

  • 2.5 years later, and this trailer still kicks ass...

  • 2.5 years later and this movie is still shit.

  • @MarkAnthony27 that was a good film :)

  • I always use this trailer to test the screen quality of new devices :)

  • "james g kirk was a great man, but that was another life".....how insulting...

  • This trailer always gives me chills.

  • @lovelylizzie333

    Me, too<3 ooooo

  • This bologna is blasphemous! Long live TOS!!!

  • JJ Abrams raped the spirit of hope the series. only the most young people do not know what he did

  • Comment removed

  • 1:50 Say it, don't spray it.

  • song name is -two steps from hell- freedom fighters btw :

    )

  • @Arkinko1 hahaha

  • theres actually talk of a new star trek series with these actors in, i might as well go kill myself

  • @KingAlan2K11 it would be nice with a new star trek show

  • this was an insult to gene rodenberys creation FUCK JJ.ABRAMS

  • @KingAlan2K11 I think it was closer to Roddenberry's creation than Deep Space Nine was at least.

  • @Meyosan yeah but this was a rip off of star wars, deep space nine rpped off nothing and was good, THIS WAS A PIECE OF SHIT. how can you have a star trek movie with leonard nimoy but not shatner, and also kirk kinda looked like a young william shatner but spock looked nothing like spock from the original series he looked completely different they could at least find a actor that looked a little like leonard nimoy.

  • @KingAlan2K11 Actually, there's strong evidence that Paramount took the material from the Babylon 5 pitch to make Deep Space Nine, as the fact that both series start off with the station commander at the rank of Commander (since when does a commanding officer in Star Trek start off as a Commander?) Also, you can blame Star Trek Generations for the lack of Shatner, since Kirk was killed in it. Another thing is that the characters are in their twenties, not thirties-forties.

  • @KingAlan2K11 JJ Abrams did a FANTASTIC job on this. it's not supposed to be the story of the original star trek. it's ultimately an alternate universe with the younger versions of the characters. you can't compare it to the original or call it an insult because it's not a remake. i thought the casting was absolutely wonderful. one of my favorite movies.

  • @audreyfan855 Likes the casting too with the exception of Scotty, I wish they got a better Scotty

  • FIRE EVERYTHING!!! farts*

  • Two steps from hell did an amazing job with the music here. For all who want to know the track is: freedom fighters.

Another awsome track by them which featured In the mass effect 2 trailer is call heart of courage.

  • whats that theme music or sng or whatever it is please tell me

  • @mcpenningten12 "Freedom Fighters" by Two Steps From Hell from their Invincible album.

  • 0:43 SYLAR!!!!

  • Deep Space 9 owns this shit! Fucking Owns this shit! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGNERRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDRAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • awesome trailer!

  • What a beautiful legacy Gene left for all fans of his idea.

  • 1:53 cute :P

  • Comment removed

  • 1:47 SIMON PEGG YEAH!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know the name of the song playing in the backround of the trailer? it's so epic, i want it.

  • @Loren1057 It's Two Steps From Hell - Freedom Fighters

  • Thumbs up if you thought Star Trek was better then James Cameranes Avatar

  • @aylenlake17 I honestly thought the story was much better. I loved the visual effects in Avatar but the story rubbed me the wrong way. Just wondering, though, what do you think would happen if we had James Cameron direct a Star Trek film? We know how creative the guy is considering how he pretty much visualized Avatar's entire world.

  • @aylenlake17 Not enough explosions nor lasers in both.

  • @aylenlake17

Heck yeah and Transformers..This movie can beat like 4 star wars movie..That's how emotional and good the story and the movie was..:)

  • @aylenlake17 Avatar was a movie for butt-.pirates.

  • Greatest Star Trek Trailer EVER!!!!!

  • Does anyone know what the name of the song in this trailer is?

  • @Tilan123 "freedom fighters" from "two steps from hell"

  • @damaxmar Haha, shame on me! I actually HAVE the Invincible album, but never listened to it!

  • FIRE EVERYTHING!!!!

  • two steps from hell ftw
