GoldenLaces it is obvious you are young and inexperienced with relationships. Sometimes adults have second thoughts. This song is a reflection of that. To me, this song relates because you can be in a very loving relationship only for at some point second guess yourself when either you meet someone new or perhaps an old flame comes back into your life. It does not make one a bad person to be locked into a struggle of who the right one. The answer is not always obvious.

Yes people can be torn...i agree. But what people are failing to hear in the lyrics is the part where he expresses guilt for being a liar. Last I checked people who look another person in the eye and lie to them are pretty damn scummy. The answer may not be obvious, true, but being twofaced is obviously not the answer. Yes I am young, but my stance is based upon knowing not to screw with people's minds and emotions, and knowing that I am a fiercely loyal person with low tolerance for the b.s of a grown man groveling and complaining about a stupid situation (physical or otherwise) he created or enabled. I wish the lyrics reflected something that didn't make me roll my eyes because I Love Love the sound of this song; its mellow and emotional, but the message of being an indecisive liar messes it up for me.

I am young but I know that ppl don't just fall by bumping into someone in the grocery store. a real emotional connection is something ppl work on and put time and effort into. There may be an instant chemistry felft but love doesn't "just happen"..its created.
