@cutsk8 ive got a buddy that has a border collie that retrieves better than any lab he's ever had haha, and trust me, that dog is AMAZING rarely ever cant find a duck even if they dive and come up in thick toolies, it helps that she's two years old and has over 1000 retrieves though. So it would be possible to train a beagle to be the best damn bird dog around with the right method and dog

I made the video for my outfitter for a promo. As for the dogs my two labs have never been shot. As you can see in parts of the video they do break but I allow that for spring snow Igoose hunting when you may have a long sailer. My little lab belle you saw in the pit is better then the older one that is now retired. The Music well I like it and it seemed to work. It was really fun to make the video we needed something to show clients at shows and things.... Thanks for the comments

@Karli16011992 nice dogs but, they need to learn to stay and not break on the birds until comanded to retrieve. I have trained my dogs to stay and only to move when sent. Two years ago I seen a guys dog shot in the head and killed as it broke on the geese when the shot was called. The geese were back pedaling into the decoys and the guy next to me was locked on the goose that he was going to shoot and didn't see the dog jump to catch the goose. It was very unfortunate.

It's their dog to shoot I guess. I just hate to see a dog with potential get shot while trying to do his job. Just needs a little more training is all. Great video otherwise.

If the dog was well trained it would not be breaking for the birds until it is sent. It obviously retrieves well but breaking to the birds before the shooting even starts will cost you birds-- nice looking dog though
