Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X were the best games ever. I miss them, I think Final Fantasy 12 was when it started going wrong, that game was average and lost the spark that Final Fantasy had. So glad I got to play these games in my life.

I dunno, I felt like XIII was off the mark a bit, but that didn't really stop me from enjoying it. Then again, I loved Dirge of Cerberus, which everyone seems to have some form of vendetta against. To each their own, I suppose.

@terrorofdeath93 Part of the reason for the DOC hate is namely because it felt....a bit phoned in and like it never reached the level of potential it could have. The Deep-ground are basically FOXHOUND knock-offs, very few of the main cast are actually seen or heard from (I know it's about vincent, but still...). I do have to give it credit for not contriving a plot up to just bring Sephy back from the dead again, but all the same it felt less like a Final fantasy game and more like fanfiction.

@FomegaDJ Could you come out with a better story than FF12's ? In my opinion,all of the Final Fantasy games are amazing,no matter how they are or crap the people think they are,I think they are all good,and Square Enix has put a great effort in all of their games,and I hate people that complains about their great work by saying that one of their games was crap and comparisons and etc...They are all good,end of the discussion.

I played FF9 ALL the way until Nova Dragon, and then I got screwed. Lol, the only high-levelled character in my party is Zidane at level 81, the others were just too low.

honestly, as a MASIVE VII fan, i think all you zack fans need to stop the hormones, he would be too similar to cloud, there would be no story on his behalf, so just accept the fact that zack will NEVER EVER be in ANY Dissidia games whatSOEVER

I saw that vid, too. Anyway, Tifa has a special abillity to feint attacks and slide behind an opponent to attack from behind. Besides, the director, Takahashi something or other, said he wouldn't make the game without Tifa. Besides, if Zack were the hero, a more plausible villain would be Genesis rather than Sephiroth. If Vincent was, then it would have to be Hojo/Weiss.

7 was amazin wht are you talkin about the reason he blames him self is because he felt that the reason she died was because he led her to her own death and that he knew if he got to close tht sephiroth will attack him not physically but to the heart aeris meant alot to cloud sephiroth knew if he killed aeris that it would make cloud lose hope and push everything out of the way just to pursue him. but cloud realised tht she will always be in his heart.the main thing he wnted was to be forgivin

that's right ,the story of final fantasy 7 is really great and his music you can find in lot of parts of the game(beyond the map) and aeris 's death is one of the most important parts of the game (sancta) together the story of jenova and the passed of nibheleim

VII is ALRIGHT, NOT amazing, just ok at best, it had its moments, but I prefer II, VII did have some of the best FF music though. though Cloud definatly needed to just man up towards the end, ok sure you lost Aeris, it was sad and all that but seriously it wasnt even his fault and he blames himself for the rest of the game and further (till the END of AC) Everyone else except him and Vincent were fine

at least vincent had a reason to be emo. look up the story of FF7: dirge of cerberus. It says a LOT about what his life was like.

@Becksisbestbeer I think, just for being "Final Fantasy", all of them stays have equal level of greatness. Each with it's own history, and each with it's pros and cons'.

I don't have a favourite, all of them were great, and i enjoyed playing each one of them. With each one, i felt different feelings, and there is no "Best" one.

@TenchiHawkwing I disagree as well, all Final Fantasies are different. Personally I liked ff12 story was good, but the gameplay was even better for me. I liked running around freely and the fight system was the best for me, I liked the turn based original ones, but I loved ff12 battle system and also 13's. It's more fast paced, but it doesn't sacrifice the strategic thinking that made the old battle system fun.

@FomegaDJ I think that the gameplay was poor in FFXII, but the wide open feel was incredible. The seemingly limitless ability to change your characters' abilities was my favorite part.

I think that the narrowness of FFXIII was its major flaw, but the combat was superb. The focus on speed combined with the usual strategy involved in the Active Turn-Based system made for an enjoyable combat system.

Oh, how I wish the two games could blend their good parts and remove their bad parts...

The music team behind Final Fantasy have produced magic, in every rpg i take extra notice to story, music then characters in that particcular order, and Final Fantasy is something to look forward to because it never fails in all three compartments.
