this is such a terrible scam, I almost fell for this scam myself, I went on a paid date site and thought I met the love of my life, until one day he sent me this lovely love note email and he used the wrong name in place of mine. When I asked him who was he trying to send this email to he came up with some lie which sent up red flags for me I talked to him for a few more weeks and he started asking for money. thats when I knew something was wrong with the whole love thing he was try to pull off

Whilst it's easier for the most of us here to say that we wouldn't fall for these type of Nigerian scams, you have to appreciate that these women are very vunerable and so easily manipulated - they've been exploited by greedy theiving crooks. They're clearly not Internet savvy and don't appreciate the amount of lies and cons there are out there.
It's something that email servers, western governements and especially the Nigerian governement need to do to clamp down on.
