solving the golden ratio:
(a+b) / a = a / b ; rearranging, a^2 - b*a - b^2 = 0; setting b = 1; we get
a^2 - a -1 = 0; solving for a we get (1+sqrt(5))/2
--sorry it's hard to explain something with so little space. I was curious about the137.5degrees, so I tried to figure it out. Imagine a rectangle with a side "a" and a side "b". If the ratio of the sides is "(a+b) / a = a/b" , you'll have a golden rectangle. If you set the "b" side equal to 1, you can use the quadratic equation to solve for "a". If you put these lengths around a circle, and measured the solid angle between the center and the ends of the smaller segment, you'd get 137.5deg.

Its a nice piece of music together with some nice animation. The sequence itself is simply that, a sequence. Not all the things in the animation correspond exactly with the sequence every time in nature, more like they are close enough some of the time, which in itself is interesting. In this sense they may not be "enemies" but they are diametrically opposed in regards to the same issue: belief.

@jameskirkajfa Magnetism is not SOLID but let's not confuse that with physicality. It is possible to measure magnetism by means of real-life experiments common to us all. Magnetic force lines are able to pass through solid materials (to a degree) but this does not mean they don't hold a place in space. What you mention about several billion people believing is a common informal fallacy called "ad populum", I recommend you look it up in wikipedia or books about critical thinking and logic.

If you wondered where the 137.5 degrees comes from:
the golden ratio is 1:(1+sqrt(5))/2 ; If you map these as arc lengths on a circle, you can convert the arc length to degrees. L/C = theta/2*pi ; in our case L=1, and C = 1+(1+sqrt(5))/2. therefore theta = 2*pi / (1 + (1+sqrt(5))/2) = 2.4000; theta * 180 / pi = 137.50776405... degrees.
solving the golden ratio:
(a+b) / a = a / b ; rearranging, a^2 - b*a - b^2 = 0; setting b = 1; we get
a^2 - a -1 = 0; solving for a we get (1+sqrt(5))/2

--sorry it's hard to explain something with so little space. I was curious about the137.5degrees, so I tried to figure it out. Imagine a rectangle with a side "a" and a side "b". If the ratio of the sides is "(a+b) / a = a/b" , you'll have a golden rectangle. If you set the "b" side equal to 1, you can use the quadratic equation to solve for "a". If you put these lengths around a circle, and measured the solid angle between the center and the ends of the smaller segment, you'd get 137.5deg.

Its a nice piece of music together with some nice animation. The sequence itself is simply that, a sequence. Not all the things in the animation correspond exactly with the sequence every time in nature, more like they are close enough some of the time, which in itself is interesting. God's part or what god is or is not, is a matter for the individual to decide. (IMO))

@oscaringoliling0 uhm a little different than that... you may hold a specific belief while having a mind of another belief... you just cannot use one to justify the other... because faith deals with things that cannot be seen and science deals with explaining things that can be seen... trying to explain one with the other is like trying to paint air... isaac newton, he believed in god but at no point trying to explain gravity did he say " cause god pulls the stuff down" get what i mean?

@jameskirkajfa No, I don't get it at all. Reality is common to us all, yes? so therefor there must be a method, also common to us all, by which we may acquire knowledge about this reality. When humanity had no intellectual tools to understand what was happening in reality it developed "faith" and religion, but many centuries after that came along the scientific method, as a much better way of accumulating true knowledge about reality. Faith is, I fear, outdated, my friend.

@jameskirkajfa Besides: you can't just whimsically tell me that X object, which forms part of reality, (referring to these "unseen" things you mention), is subject to a different set of "belief rules" than some other object Y which forms part of the same reality (the immediately obvious, such as gravity). If both things are real, they should be subject to the same principles of reason, If they are both real, there should be a method for making this reality obvious, either that or one isn't real.

@oscaringoliling0 i believe that everything is true until proven to NOT be true... you cannot rule out something simply because right now it doesn't make sense to you... because in the past tons of things didn't make sense: imagine you told someone in the past about the internet? they would laugh out loud and call you crazy.. just because apparent reason isn't figured out yet it doesn't rule out its possibility of existence...

@jameskirkajfa But it is justified to doubt given the lack of information. Unless you have some proof or evidence for what you say, I have no reason to believe you lie or tell the truth. But it is certainly wrong to assume it's true by default...

@oscaringoliling0 I'm on neither side of this fence, i personally believe in God: but regardless my argument is that you cannot indicate ignorance through belief... i've talked to people before like this same layout of conversation trying to acquire some psychological or ideological sense and they ask " do you believe in God?" and i say " yes" after that point instantly im " ignorant" and undeserving of opinion or intellect and I just dont think thats a valid factor for stupidity

@jameskirkajfa Well, if you offered them some evidence perhaps they would change their mind. I personally think we are all ignorant and deserving opinion and criticism, because this is how we acquire culture and expand our knowledge as a species.

@jameskirkajfa Well, I might be stretching too much here but maybe what these people think is not that religion, only because it's religion, should deserve the "ignorant" label as a subject. I think that what they're getting at is the fact that any belief which does not offer any real evidential experimental basis counts not as knowledge but as the opposite, be it religion, superstition, magical or wishful thinking, etc.

@oscaringoliling0 well that was the thought about several physical things accomplished later on... like electricity, magnetism, superconductivity etc... all pretty much not physical things or visible but that later on there was discovered a way to harness it or use it... just because its not physical doesnt mean it doesnt exist... + with several billion people in the world that are religious... are they all ignorant? even tho they believe in different Gods they still believe A god exists

@jameskirkajfa Magnetism is not SOLID but let's not confuse that with physicality. It is possible to measure magnetism by means of real-life experiments common to us all. Magnetic force lines are able to pass through solid materials (to a degree) but this does not mean they don't hold a place in space. What you mention about several billion people believing is a common informal fallacy called "ad populum", I recommend you look it up in wikipedia or books about critical thinking and logic.

@oscaringoliling0 The real life experiments are only common to us all now, back then they werent for a good while that wasn't exactly common to us all... im just afraid that humanity today or the " google era" is going to end up taking everything thats already figured out as the absolute truth and not try to figure out newer things... this will increase knowledge of the overall population but drastically decrease creativity
