@nintendomaster24 That aggravates me so much. I have asked repeatedly on dozens of videos. We are only left to assume that the game ended in a resignation, although no mention of it occurs on chess websites for this game. UGH!!
@TheAzNGambit: Grandmasters don't typically see that many moves ahead more than a good club player (though they have the capability at times). Grandmasters possess two things: decades of experience and excellent chess memory combined with tremendous "intuition." This last part is what separates the men from the boys. As Kasparov himself said, "It is just there, and if you are not born with it, no training could build it."
@vmfedor I hate when people say you're born with abilities to do things. That's like saying someone is born with the ability to solve a rubick's cube.
No one is born with knowledge. Some people are naturally gifted in that they can gain knowledge more efficiently and build on their knowledge more than the average person. Some people can apply their knowledge better than others. Nevertheless, put a chess board in front of a five year old without him knowing the rules. I assure you, he will not have knowledge of the game. Sheesh. Now go play chess.
well, whether the Knight or the Bishop is stronger in the endgame largely depends on the pawn strtuctures and whether the knight will find many free and useful fields or not, i would say.
And in this game, the bishop was more useful than the knight.
Anand's not black; he's Indian.

This is actually Game 10 of the World Chess Championship match held at the World Trade Center in September 1995.

wow, just wow.
Kasparov's rook sac was beautiful. And Anand's defense amazing as well.
but man that rook sac gave a lot position advantage that Anand couldn't get back
what a great match

blacks first bishop move wasnt optimal
chrisb1469 2 years ago
these are grand masters, they think 20 moves ahead...probably maybe 50
those "weird" moves will lead to your defeat faster than you can say how much material lead you had but still got checkmated....
and yes...depending on pawn structures, either knight or bishop will be useful in the game

Bishop is a little bit stronger in the end, not knight. Especially with the rook.

anand should won with this material.knights always have advantage against bishops in the end.or hshould won with every other player, except kasparov!
