  • benguela is slow

  • your mind is too slow for capoeira.

  • @maracuja1230 Angola is even slower, and it's definitely capoeira.

  • Grandes jogos de benguela!

  • how could the players be "off beat?"

  • Surely their music sucks... that is why EVERY group sing their songs. Maybe the video was out of sync, or there were a lot of beginners. If I was to write down every ABADA song that other groups sing, I would not have enough space here. If I was to say how many groups copy their style or implement their ideas would be same story. So let's give them credit for that. After all, THEY write the best banguela songs, and even if you don't know, they also have their own way of clapping for banguela.

  • Maybe its just a converting problem...but I don't here such a bad sound you describe.

Try this: turn of the sound and play a benguela song from your harddisk :) at least in that way you can enjoy the jogo ;)

  • are you stupid?, i'm sure you are from other group, they clap their hands right, estes gajos são mesmo otários

  • ABADA and most other big groups follow the Bimba style of clapping (a palma de bimba e' 1, 2, 3); to my knowledge Senzala uses the palma de terreiro style of clapping for certain toques.

  • Just for the record, I am from ABADA. They clap 1,2,3 like most groups, but the accent or "louder" clap is in the second clap as it goes in sync with the atabaque (1,2,3,4) on the third hit or "open" palm strike. By that I mean the three claps are not the same as the do not sound "flat", the atabaque sounds the same on the 1st,2nd and 4th strike, the third one is open sound. And I was not criticizing my group, I was defending ABADA, I hope you understand the message...

  • In the beginning...I don't know but later Prof. Cascao is singing.

  • Beautiful Roda, who is singing? Just beautiful.

Roda belo, quem canta? Justo belo.

  • yes, very very good jogo :)

  • very good jogo:)

  • Who plays better benguela than them? Nobody. It's funny to see how EVERYBODY copies their style (mostly benguela, now even their regional), and sing their songs. Haha, let's give credit to who deserves it.

  • @Caracucb Sorry, but my opinion is... the best of Benguela game plays Mestre Gil (Afro Ritimo/Cordao de Ouro). Once more I am sorry, if I offend someone. ... otherwise, Capoeira-ABADÁ is very good group and I like these style of playing. Sometime I practice with people from ABADÁ.

  • Esta muy bien, a ver si subes mas
