My college did this play last year. I was actually cast as Warwick, they changed the part from a man to a woman for me. The guy who played Lancaster and I built in this whole relationship between Warwick and Lancaster that really added to the action on stage. It was the best experience I've had in a play. It's a difficult one but so rewarding at the end.

Je moet bewondering hebben voor regisseur peter jackson dat hij een onverfilmbaar boek sowieso verfilmde en er een kwalitatieve constante en een mooi evenwicht tussen spektakel en intimiteit en emotie in de trilogie wist te krijgen, wat je niet altijd kan zeggen van de potter/dinosaurusfilms.

vind het leuk hoe ze dit waargebeurde verhaal hebben aangepakt. de echte gaveston werd onthoofd en een adellijke vader en zoon, die beiden een relatie hadden met edward, werden op een gruwelijke manier publiekelijk terechtgesteld. in de middeleeuwen hadden ze geen tv, blijkbaar...
graag gedaan. heb 'm jaren geleden op video opgenomen (van een nederlandse zender, denk ik), nu gekopierd naar dvd en via laptop in stukjes van 10 minuten op youtube gezet.
tilda swinton, de koningin, is nu een oscarwinnende actrice in hollywood!

Hm. In comparison to the play, this is really substandard.
But as a work of art only mildly related, it's pretty darn good. Not exactly my cup of tea, though, I'm afraid it's too... erotic for my taste.
