When I was young and dumb, I built a tunnel in sand....Thank God!!! i was not in it when it collapsed. I was just about to go back into it when it collapsed...(very scary). If your going to make a tunnel: one don't make it in sand!! Always construct a support structure capable of holding the tunnel up.

i did this but it was an actual cave in a sand mountain in pitts near my house i was around 9 and me and my friend were hanging out inside it and having fun and it colapsed when he was on his way out easily could have died so easy im 24 now and i just relived it and how close i was to actually dieing

check out the vid entitled beach tunnel posted by delandkristin. i was pissed when i saw a little girl not over 5yrs old go into a tunnel made from sand like this. horrible! good way to die or kill your kid. these people need to get a clue. this is very very dangerous and you can suffocate to death. glad you guys at least put up a warning.

That guy is an idiot for trying that. I had to help dig out a 10yo boy last summer and once we got him out it was too late. He had sand in his throat and he had died. there was about 10 people digging because we all heard his sister screaming and his parents frantic trying to dig him out.

Thats so dangerous at the coast in belgium a 17 year old died this summer doing the same thing the tunnel collapsed and he suffocated... those that read this dont try this really...when that thing collapses your friends cant even pull you out the sand is heavier then it looks
