This was pretty good. Those of you saying "THIS SUCKS, I'M GONNA GO CUT MYSELF COS' I'M AN ATHEIST AND EVERYTHING I DO IS RIGHT," just please, go away. If you don't like it, don't bother to comment.
@WEtranceLA It's not a band. it's some students that threw this together in a very short amount of time. It's not meant to be professional. It's satire more than anything.
I couldn't handle multiple wives so regular ol' LDS.
Incidentally I'm a huge South Park fan and consider it the best satire of my generation. Considering their penchant for song and the fact they did the musical, I think Trey and Matt would be down with this version of the tune. Maybe I'll ask them when I go see The Book of Mormon Musical later this summer. Also I served my mission in Africa so maybe they would be interested in my experience.
It's funny that so many people fail to look up the actual comments that the user posts, and insist on trolling. If you don't like it, click away. Most of us don't want to see anyone being bashed, LDS or not.
I love this vid, soo cool, I am LDS and this is fun, creative. I love the creativity to express ones appreciation of a very favorite kid song.(every time in Primary i begged to sing this song and the sign language with it) I love this song, I only wish that they had someone up to the mike singing the actual words in grunge or like Metallica, that would have been great. That's OK, I sing the rock way with my child, this is soo fun. great job you guys!
@teacurt Your religion is all based on one guy looking through some "gold plates" then telling everyone what he saw. You all used to be polygamists, but that wasn't socially expectable so now the original mormons are known as the "fundamentalists." Blacks weren't allowed in the priesthood until the church was about to lose a huge tax exemption, and magically the prophet had a sign from god that now blacks are allowed in. When will gays be accepted? I assume when society starts to accept them
@sean1256 I read how hateful you must feel, sorry you feel that the LDS religion is your trigger, I made a comment of how I loved the song, how I loved the church, do not for one second think you will alter my love, my belief, and your "facts" are incorrect, what you say is false, misinformed and misunderstood. I will not banter with you, i only wish you peace. If one does not like a religion don't join, simple! No need to spread false words and hatred for it, just don't join.we do have freedom
@sean1256 I didn't say the church did not practice polygamy or any of that, you misunderstanding and U will not sway my faith.changes were made other reasons,he didn't speak to higher power through gold plates, you can hate something all you like, there really is no need 4 you to attack someone who simply first stated how much they enjoyed the song played!YOUR comments and trying to make a religious debate is pointless.ALL religions have stuff not accepted in today standards.last i say on this 2 U.
Having a debate over whether or not Mormonism is true isn't really the point of this video. This video is about some college students having some fun by reworking a familiar LDS kids song.
@Truthiness231 What ironic you sound like religious fanatic and same level of ignorance, hatred and rudeness for people who have a different believe then you. it reminds me of the Soviet atheist who rounded my family and shot them.
@cortezawwris Sarcasm doesn't translate well in text, but I'm fairly sure that's what you were going for ^.^
If not however: I don't think what I wrote would be construed as more "hateful and rude" than what the guy before me said; he said Mormons are wrong, and I pointed out that it isn't just them... Why be upset of someone "attacking" a mythology when the post I was responding to was doing the same? Were I to point out anything else obvious with reality, would that be any more/less hateful?
Very good!!! What's with all the hate comments, seriously?

Really bad! The drummer is remedial at best.

@mattojorojo Thanks for your comments. Drummer is actually a bass player IRL. He didn't do too bad in the half hour it took to throw this together.

@teacurt You won't "banter" as you like to call it, because you can't disprove my "facts" I stated.
Joseph Smith DID practice polygamy.
The Gold Plates WERE the instrument that he used to speak to the higher power.
African Americans were NOT allowed to hold the priesthood until the late 80's.
All of these are FACTS.

@imationqwest I like how people argue about which imaginary friend is better ^.^
I conjecture we're both atheists, I just believe in one less god than you do.
