  • Is it possible to downshift without the clutch pedal in this car?

  • you must go to F1 ;)

  • what does he keep doing with his left foot on the straights? (:24, :53, 1:47, 2:15, 2:39)

  • @pootube45 Considering its the brake pedal, I would guess keeping them warm given the length of the straight. Just a guess though!

  • @pootube45 making sure the pistons sit flush or close to flush to rotors so when he hit the brakes, there wont be much pedal travel. Basically to make sure he has a firm brake pedal every time he goes into a braking zone. Reason he is doing this is during the turns, the rotor would actually knock back the pistons into the calipers causing a longer brake pedal travel if he hits the brakes without tapping with left foot prior to each braking zone.

As good as it gets for a solid lap.

  • @pureevoix Correction: I meant pistons pushing the pads to sit flush with rotors. The rotor knocks the pad, which then knock the pistons back in. Brake pistons don't touch the actual rotors. Just more clarification.

  • @pureevoix Thanks for the explaination! I have since noticed this "technique" being employed by V8 supercar drivers too.
