The only thing I don't like about ACE is that when I go online and shoot I don't see the dust getting kicked up when my bullet impacts. It's irritating coz i don't know if i'm aiming high or low.

huge job and generally very good - but still some bugs.

Tried 1.7 version and found that M1A1 disable from 1 t790 sabot but M2A2 or striker hold 3-4 of direct impact.

As far as I remember we dropped play ace for arma due to bug that stinger/igla was most powerful weapon on battlefield.Shame that mod still have a lot of bugs.

@WindowsVideoArchive Go to google and search "Can you run it". Without quotations of course. It will require a small and SAFE download that is to easy to remove if you don't want to use it anymore. Once you google dearch click the first(and most obvious) link and once at the site select any computer game or program or type it in on the text bar(Arma II is in the drop down menu so don't have to type it in). Let the program download and then it will tell you if your computer can run the game.

hey ive been trying to install this mod for Arma2 standalone for the past 2 days and all i get is "ace_anims requires 1.56 of application" and i cant use ACE, ive changed the target with the -mod bs ive used 6 updater, ive followed every tutorial possible and i cannot work it out please help.

I hope Bohemia puts Havok or nVidia Physix into ArmA 3, its kinda stupid when you blow up a tank and they still have the wierd "flying in random direction like a piece of paper" reaction. And you could have ragdoll death animations, particle effects and the lot :)

@ tpM91 im not so fond of the hearing loss mechanics, as firing any lmg eats away at it, and firing any AA gun sustained deafens you instantly, earplugs are always in my inventory, but there is no way to use them, and once your hearing is lost, it never seems to come back until you load the next level.

I must say I am very much impressed by the improvements in this mod! The ricocheting rounds @ 5:41 dropped my yaw, that's usually only seen in flightsims,

But please tell me: One of the reasons I haven't got ARMA2 yet is because of the odd vehicle and aircraft movement. You know, bouncing, sliding and just to fast movement of tanks and cars. Like they do not have mass at all. OFP2 does that WAY better, look at some vids. And the jets? Move they as fast as in real life or again to slow?

A easy way to get all the info on your computer is to push or press the Windows icon (bottom left). Select RUN and in the new window write "dxdiag" (without "") and press enter.

You will then get the Direct X information window where the System and Display tabs show you what kind of computer parts you have. Display shows the 3d card type.

its funny, OFP DR did so many things wrong but did do good in alot of these small little areas like different ways to throw grenades, tail rotor killing people who walk close to them, have any ArmA 2 mods done anything similiar to Dragon Rising where you have to set up large weapons like the SMAW? It seems way to fast and unrealistic in ArmA 2 with getting it out and reloading it but these are all just small little things right :P
